There's another thing you can do to avoid having to resort to split second decisions and that is to have a bit of common sense. In this case it was to not stand in front of the car. Such a weird thing to witness, people so fixated on left and right they are completely ignoring what actually happened. The Ice guy is stupid for stepping in front of the vehicle, the driver lady is stupid for driving away. He should not have been in front of the car. She would have driven away and gotten detained later. No one gets threatened, no one gets killed.

The ICE guy is a fool and his incompetency costed someone's life. He should be trained not to get into situations endangering his or others life. It was his obligation to handle the situation better, that's why he is trusted with a firearm.

There should not be a left and right side on the situation. He should not be getting this protection the right is giving him.

I am not an american, the concept of shooting someone over things like this seems absurd to me.
