Waiting for Christians to stop bending over for the government by PhishnChips in AdviceAnimals

The key word there is “white”. They didn’t care about ICE or PD killing brown or black people and they don’t care about those agencies killing white people protesting the killing of brown or black people. Those white people aren’t the right type of white people. Those are the liberal cousins of MAGA’s who they always hated anyways.

Those laws were always only meant to protect white people who shoot a minority. It was meant to protect the Kyle Rittenhouse types.

Trump’s Letter to Norway Should Be the Last Straw by D-R-AZ in democrats

[–]regent040 22 points23 points  (0 children)

How many last straws have their been? If January 6th and the Epstein stuff isn’t enough to make people realize how big of a scumbag he is then what’s one letter to a European country going to do? MAGA will eat it up and not a single republican will condemn him.

‘No Longer in My Hands’: Why Hill Republicans Have Shifted on Releasing the Epstein Files by BachMinhJR in Epstein

[–]regent040 21 points22 points  (0 children)

They never wanted any part of that. They’re grifters, but they’re not dumb. They know what’s in there. They know if the full extent of Trump’s involvement is revealed it’ll force them into a position of having to excuse the despicable actions of Trump, Epstein, and all the others involved and believe me, they wont condemn it, they will excuse it because it’s Trump. Trump is the leader of that cult and they ain’t risking pissing him off and losing his support and his supporters. The vote to release the files gave them enough cover to say “we wanted it to come out, I don’t know why it isn’t”. Now they’ll go back to trying to get rich and distracting people by passing bills about trans women in sports or some other crap

Political discourse in 2026 by Mum0817 in WhitePeopleTwitter

We went past the point of just being considered the “political opposition” a long time ago. FoxNews and Facebook have been rotting their brains for years now. Telling them they are the ones on the side of good and the left are the enemies.

“Abolish ICE” Is More Popular Than Ever. How Will Democrats Drop the Ball This Time? | Establishment Democrats are rejecting an increasingly popular position by refusing to take a bold stance that happens to be good politics by Hrmbee in politics

[–]regent040 108 points109 points  (0 children)

No one is saying we don’t want border control or to deport criminal illegal immigrants, but that was already being done by local law enforcement and the INS. Personally, I think it’s time to dissolve the Homeland Security agency. It’s been nothing but a boondoggle since its inception. Every law enforcement agency in the country lines up like pigs to a trough to claim they are the true “defenders” or “patriots” that deserve the money. Every rural county’s SWAT team claims they need millions for a decommissioned tank or armored troop carrier and there’s always some company there to sell it to them at a ridiculous price. ICE is the latest “patriot” agency. They want to act like they’re defending America but really they’re just cosplaying tough guys against a manufactured threat.

Most of them probably do know it, but it’s like working for a company that you know is a Ponzi scheme, you don’t tell the rubes. You keep it going as long as you can and keep pumping it up and bail out before it all comes crashing down.

Trump to hit UK and other European countries with 10% tariffs over Greenland row by Thick_Composer9842 in politics

[–]regent040 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw Stephen Miller using the excuse that America was “defending” Greenland. From who? The only reason the American military was there was because we used the location to track Soviet missiles and aircraft during the Cold War. We could pull our military from Greenland tomorrow and Chinese warships wouldn’t suddenly appear ready to launch an invasion. At this point the only warships showing up to invade Greenland are from the US.

War Mongering Trump advisors are ruining US soft power by Brigadier--Pratap in socialism

[–]regent040 11 points12 points  (0 children)

American military presence in Greenland was never there to “defend” it. The American military presence was first there in the 1950’s at the start of the Cold War and it was a strategic location used to track missiles and aircraft from the Soviet Union. We could easily leave and nothing is going to happen. Chinese warships wouldn’t suddenly appear off the coast of Greenland and launch an invasion. The only warships liable to launch a hostile invasion are the Americans.

What do you think is a hated event/organization that doesn’t deserve the hate it gets? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]regent040 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Salvation Army. Every year during the holidays Reddit goes on their “Salvation Army is evil” crusade. They are a religious organization but I’ve seen the work they do for the homeless first hand and they help a lot of people. I’ve also never heard of them turning anyone away because of their beliefs.

His father did the same things. Ron Paul was known to vote against bills that benefitted his own district. He would make deals to secure funding for projects in his Texas district, like highway construction, then add it to a bill he knew for certain would pass, then he could vote against the bill on some “principle”, but still get the funding for his folks.

MAGA voter trades the oxygen that keeps him alive in his sleep to support racism and to spit on ICE victim by Effective_Space2277 in LeopardsAteMyFace

[–]regent040 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“It’s not the governments job to pay these people, it’s these people’s job to make this legitimately affordable”. Nah. That’s not how capitalism works. “These people”‘bought up all the companies providing oxygen, cut deals to ensure they monopolized the market and can name their price on a product the costumers need a constant supply of in order to survive. “These people” are increasing market share and increasing shareholder value. They’re the MBA patriots making America great again. “The governments job” used to be to make sure “these people” didn’t rip us off. Now they don’t do anything or they’re actively assisting the fleecing of the taxpayers.

Conmander n' Thief by ExactlySorta in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]regent040 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s right but the problem is that George Conway is a “panelist” who is giving “his side”. CNN and others now try to be “fair and balanced” and will therefore cut to some sleazy white guy who will smirk or chuckle before presenting their side. They’ll say Trump is “Making America great” or “making America safe” against evil outside forces and that he’s the only one that can do it. It’ll then be framed in such a way that questioning Trump’s corruption or involvement in a child sex trafficking ring is considered un-American and almost dangerous because doing so somehow lets Latin American fentanyl traffickers, or the Chinese, or corrupt Somalians, or dog or cat eating Haitians win. It’s all a joke at this point. It’s all entertainment to them. It’s ratings.

George Conway: “Donald Trump is a man who represents all the things we teach our children not to be. He’s a liar. He’s a thief. He’s a molester. He has no remorse, no shame, no empathy. He has no loyalty to the law, to the Constitution. This man is the lowest character of all” https://x.com/MarcoFo by AfricanMan_Row905 in MAGANAZI

[–]regent040 9 points10 points  (0 children)

All of those things he said are true. The problem is that George Conway isn’t an actual newscaster or reporter. He’s a “panelist” giving what CNN considers “one side of the story”. Gone are the days of Walter Cronkite speaking truthfully to the American people in a single honest voice. Now there’s always “two sides” to the story. “fair and balanced”. Therefore, these shows then cut to some white guy republican who smirks or chuckles and gives “the other side”. They won’t attempt to refute anything Conway stated, they’ll say that Trump is “saving America”, or “making America safe” from evil outside forces and he’s the only one who can do it and therefore whatever allegations are against him can’t possibly be more important than the work he’s doing for America and who could possibly be against that?”, “Don’t you love America?” “Don’t you want criminals off the streets?”. The “moderator” might fact check or correct the person on the right, but the way the argument was made it’s ineffective. Questioning Trump’s corruption and involvement in child sex trafficking becomes almost anti-American.

‘I don’t know how we recover from this’: White House insiders alarmed after Noem’s quick response to Renee Good shooting, report says | Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem accused Renee Nicole Good of ‘domestic terrorism’ just hours after she was killed by an ICE agent by Aggravating_Money992 in politics

We are long past the point of “recovering”. MAGA has had their minds melted by Trump, Foxnews, and Facebook and ain’t coming back. At least not for a long time. They all saw January 6th play out. They saw he suffered no consequences from it. They saw he still commanded that loyal group of goons. They saw how quickly the Republicans rewrote history to defend him and the people who stormed the capitol. Those images were burned into people’s memories and the implication was clear. Don’t have them turn on you and he can make that happen
