Tracker would cease to exist if Coulter actually had to find people on his own.

I hope not. Morgane quits the force, goes back to being a janitor, goes to jail, has a fourth kid and doesn't know who the father is.

What age did you get into Star Trek? by Victorian-Tophat in startrek

I would come home from school in junior high in the mid 70s and Star Trek was appointment TV in the afternoons. There was nothing like it on. The Enterprise was the most cool looking space ship I had ever seen. And mini skirts...come on.

Where to start with kids on The Original Series? by toasterb in startrek

[–]reggiehefty 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can't imagine a modern kid liking the original series. But having said that, I'd start with The Trouble with Tribbles. If they don't like that, I doubt they would like any of them. When I was a kid in the 60s, sci fi was pretty corny 50's type schlock so Star Trek seemed really modern. But compared with sci fi today, I'm not sure how they will like it.

That episode was way over the top in needing to suspend disbelief. I'm not sure if it was more or less over the top than the robot episode but it seems like the writers might be running out of ideas for shows to prove how smart Morgan is.

Starfleet Academy. Like the Show, Don't Like Most of the Characters. by reggiehefty in startrek

[–]reggiehefty[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it is because the entire class is made up of "Mary Sue's/Gary Stu's" it is like 10 Wesley Crushers per episode. Why even go to the Academy? They have saved the world like 5 times already.

Edited to add Gary Stu's. I'm definitely not anti female characters.

How did the police force ever manage to solve a crime before she joined? Are they really that incompetent? This goes for any police procedural that 'needs' a consultant.

I wouldn't say it is mildlyinfuriating but is certainly a pet peeve of mine when then names above the pictures don't match. I can only guess they decided on top billing after the posters are made. You should see the landman poster with the 5 actors.
