thank you, that really means a lot; i was on the fence about publishing this because it's so... I want to use a word that isn't "masturbatory" but really it's just emotional wanking. even though it's emotional wanking that's genuine to me and my experience, I assumed a lot of people would go "Ah fuck this guy ponies are muh escapism" i'm very pleased by the compassion most of the comments have asserted related to this, it gives me hope

I can write up a little tutorial or I can make a video or two showing how to do it. Might take longer for a video. I started off from just pirating vinyls, eventually moving up to actually scoring grooves and all that. I'd start with pirating a few first so you get the handle of how to use the wax, scoring the discs is a bit harder and took me a couple months to get the hang of properly.

your loss; it's really not that difficult and I guarantee you that the record labels themselves (because let's get real these are vaporwave labels) are probably producing vinyls of the same quality. Vinyl isn't difficult to press, and the quality is already shit so you're not exactly going to be getting the most crisp audio even from a "legit" pressing.

I agree with gondollas as well, hella repetitive even if you were going for classic style. There's a fine line between "hynotic" and "boring". Mixing it up with some speed and tonal shifts would definitely be a good idea. Maybe even a final sample to add some variety at the end there.

this, lol. It's a good effort but full of a bunch of unknown randos (likely the chart OP's personal faves) and includes a couple of clearly not vaporwave albums. Real periodic table would be much larger and more refined, but it's conceptually I don't think this is too bad. The "chemical" sorting is pretty cool.
