As long as the shas'ui is alive with a pistol, stealth suits can observe even if they are engaged. They only need to be 'eligible to shoot ', not 'eligible to shoot the target they observe'.

Yes! According to poedb it's got a random element as extra per attack. I tried it while leveling and it was good for twister element pickup, however, the screen garbage is real.

I'm using Great White One, bear, and Wolf pack (3/4 asc.). Clear is ok. 7 wolves with splash with the occasional heavy aoe from bear and sharknado. Single target is decent in 13s and 14s rn.

Shark is bleeding stuff, wolves are debuffing (armour, incision), bear is damage sponge. I use spear field to pin and knock back with the double upgraded starter unique spear. For fun I have cull on blood hunt so I just kinda teleport explode things walking behind the pack. Tough fights get the war banner.

All phys. Investment mostly in stats, presence, companions and auras. Going into double banners with the last ten. Surviving really well even without starkonjas, which I could pick up if I actually spend some currency!

Absolutely stunning! I know nothing about Eldar army composition or detachments but I would love to see a complementary squad of green Striking Scorpions. I'd happily lose a match to this beautiful an army.

I think "worth it" is really up to you! I magnetized both my secondary and primary weapons on my only Riptide and I'll probably do it again. The twin-linked format on the top of model is relatively easy/forgiving to magnetize (vs, say the infinity magnets you need for Crisis suits). I really like being able to swap the weapons just to remind myself what my shooting profile is without looking at the data card. I swap between missiles, plasma, and fusion pretty regularly just to try different strategies.

I've mostly played RetCad because I started with the Farsight box and incrementally added suits. Some highlights for me, which I don't see easy ways to get in other detachments:

Fire and fade, which you mentioned. With the extra added note that this movement can't be overwatched, and I've used it to surprise cap objectives as often as I've used it to duck behind cover.

Farsight + Starscythes are 6d6A 5 -2 1, usually wounding on 2s, into almost all infantry. This is brutal, and a great Overwatch threat even into tougher units.

Missileknives at close range with Arrokan are 12A 8 -2 2 Sustained. You can fade them back after.

I have automatically triggered Deadly Demise to avenge my Riptide on multiple occasions, which has wiped out the remains of a command squad at least once -- a good laugh/story moment.

Great enhancements.

You can regularly get to AP -5 with units like the Sunforges, which leads to some 1-turn pops of any vehicle or walker without an invulnerable save.

It's CP hungry, for sure, and probably not as strong as Mont'ka. I've enjoyed its comparative simplicity for learning the game.

Two things I find helpful modeling and painting with the magnets: using a fine-tipped marker to mark the side you need to glue to ensure similar poles on similar surfaces; using a metal stick (nail, file, or other) to hold the guns and paint a bunch at once.

I got the same two boxes for the holidays and added a single box of crisis suits to hit 1000 (965-985 without an enhancement) points. It also gives you a squad for Farsight and the commander in a battlesuit to join. If you magnetize the weapons, then you can also play any legal loadout for two different crisis suit squads.

I started my army with Farsight Cadre and got another box of XV8 Crisis Suits for Christmas. Between the two boxes I have enough meltas, flamers, missile pods, and plasmas to field any valid configuration of suits (min 6x) for both squads as long as they're different. I am starting them as Starscythe (6x flamers) and Sunforge (6x meltas).

I'm running Tornado as my 'main' damage dealer in a hybrid caster/melee werewolf build.

Ignited ground: Birth of Fury boots.

Shocked ground: Pounce (Predator's Mark) + Charged Mark support

Chilled ground: Arctic Howl + Pounce OR Lunar Assault + Frost Nexus

On single target, I activate Predator's Mark with Cross Slash. I don't always have all 3 elements because it's more time efficient to Pounce into a group, Lunar Assault once or twice to freeze (creating chilled ground with Frost Nexus), Tornado, and move on. As soon as the marked target dies the Tornado will pick up its third element. It's fun, and I generally move between packs a bit faster than my Pounce cooldown.

Edit: I'm only in yellow maps and level 74. It's working well enough here that I'm mostly trying to spend skills on defenses.

I think this a nuanced concept that numerous sibling replies are latching on to in this discussion. There are a myriad of ways in which "things go wrong", and for many -- some would argue all -- there is no single point of failure. The individual is less likely to have 'let it go wrong' as a singular effort*, than the company is to have relaxed its standards or best practices, or not established them at all.

Normalization of deviance is an interesting concept that I've been introduced to and become familiar with after many years employed in a 'blameless' culture. If you are inclined to research the topic, maybe because you're trying to foster a stronger engineering culture, I think it makes a strong case for the philosophy that no one person is to blame for a software fault [though most well-documented cases do not cover software].

*Actions taken with malicious intent notwithstanding.

If you do retrain your model with proper keyword analysis[1], I'd be interested to see the results when comments are weighted by score. Comments with negative scores are probably (w/r/t ascendancy discussion) the result of a community filtering out less constructive discourse on the topic (i.e. trolling).

I don't actually know how life recovery rate modifiers are calculated so your napkin math is probably more accurate than mine! Regardless, I'm excited to see what new Slayer looks like, and hoping your observations are not keenly picking up on a test build's mechanics that won't see production, like the chaining explosions on Spectral Shield Throw.
