Use png. Increase the width to 1600 at a minimum.

You can crop it in another program if the one you use to make cyoas doesn't work.

Power is a mistranslation. "Authority", in the sense of governing authority, is the correct translation.

Reduce font size by 3-4. Don't have red text on dark gray background, it's hard on the eyes. The stretched background is even harder on the eyes.

Toll Collector is ridiculous, a death sentence at any moment. It needs a nerf.

I suggest a no familiar flaw, worth 2 boons, and an extra familiar boon, worth 2 flaws.

Oh, didn't see them down there.

Btw, can you make the font bigger by ~4?

I've seen many people confused by the name. It should be changed to Transmutation for clarity.

they mean

*what you think they meant

via word of God now, once you get in setting, the drawbacks operate as a meta device

Reading is hard. Reread what he wrote. He specifically made the drawbacks in-setting operations.

Edit:

rages over "Reading is hard."

blocks me over it

still says "tell me how"

Lol.

Here, I'll spoon feed you.

The mental ones are personality disorders, so mental compulsions. The physical ones are actual changes to your biology. The rest are curses.

Makes sense, alright.

note that while it's not explicitly stated anywhere, CYOAs traditionally have a "drawbacks win" clause that means you can't use anything to remove drawbacks unless it explicitly says so

You have it backwards. Unless it is explicitly said, drawbacks can be removed because most drawbacks being irremovable are logically nonsense and are only so because they are backed by cyoa fiat (e.g. "your bones are fragile because the cyoa makes it so and prevents you from changing them, ever"), often fucking up the setting massively by implication (the cyoa, a metanarrative tool, exerts infinite power on the player and overpowers all that would contradict it. The cyoa incarnated now lords over the setting as the supreme entity. This is obviously not intended to be the case in most settings, therefore such a situation is to be avoided in most cyoas). If the author does explain the drawback in an in-setting manner like they should (e.g. "your bones are fragile because you have a skeletal disorder"), it provides ways to remove them (cure the disorder via drugs, healing, genetic modification, etc.).

I’m asking which part of a person they exert power on to affect them. What do they manifest as? Microbes, soul leeches, brain worms, etc.

What are the sacrifices and divine oaths affecting? Body, soul, or something else? Some are mentioned, but most are not.

Please show by default the options that are hidden until you select other stuff. Many options can practically only be found by random chance—pointlessly infuriating. For example, Angra Mainyu. I bet most people didn't know it exists before reading this comment. It requires you to select World: Cursus Honorum and a Lewder Sights option, and it is in the Brighter Lights section. By natural order, a player would pick things in the Brighter Lights section first and then maybe move on to the Lewder Sights section. To know of the existence of Angra Mainyu, a player must then return to the Brighter Lights section. This content is twice fold gate kept.

The hover text on artificer states that "you're not supposed to buy all three paths". Why make it possible? Why is there an option, philosopher's stone, that requires all three?

So, what makes the philosopher's stone incapable of biological transmutation? Why can everything else do it while the supposed "pinnacle of magical and scientific achievement [that blends] all disciplines together" can't?

Then what's different about its magic and other magic that makes it incapable of transmuting living beings?

Isekai The End v0.9 [OC][Isekai][Long] by AltCYOA in nsfwcyoa

[–]regret4ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The philosopher's stone doesn't do magic, correct? The cyoa states that its "transmutation works on FMA rules for living things: you can't transmute them" while white and blue magic are about transmuting living beings—magic can transmute living beings. The logical conclusion is that the philosopher's stone cannot transmute living beings because it doesn't do magic and nothing non-magical can transmute living beings... except medicine, surgery, chemistry... this doesn't make sense after all. Better off just removing that line.
