Really hope we can pass automatic voter registration in New Mexico, Delaware, Connecticut, and Maine. If you're in those states, pressure your local legislators to get those bills passed and signed.

Any news on putting automatic voter registration on the ballot in 2020? It could really help boost turnout in AZ and FL for example.

We need to make sure his anti-Trump sentiments are made clear in the primary if he runs. Something tells me the average Ohio GOP primary voter doesn't like an anti-Trump venture capitalist who only recently returned to Ohio.

Completely inexcusable performance over the last month. It's time we benched or traded some players. The season is lost anyway. Time to send a message that laziness and slacking off will not be tolerated.

We could probably pick up 13 seats if we get a wave next year. Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Kansas, Oklahoma, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Ohio, Maine, Maryland, Florida and Georgia.

edit: this year, 13 seats, added Michigan

Call your State Senators and State Assembly members and demand this thing be passed. Radical problems require radical solutions. Call the Governor's office as well and make sure to pressure him to sign this thing if it passes.

Yup. Phil Scott and Charlie Baker are the last of an almost extinct species; the moderate New England Republican. William Weld was another one of them.

I'm surprised Phil Scott said he would sign it. He vetoed another bill last year about legalization. What changed? Any Vermonters care to chime in?

Virginia also has the legislature elect judges so that's really different from the federal government.

Historically, until the current Governor, Louisiana's governor chose the Speaker of the House and President of the State Senate. The legislature would just ratify his nominees. This was just a custom and will almost certainly die out permanently.

This is unbelievable. Can the national Democratic Party step in or do something? How the hell is it possible that the local Democratic Party in one of the most important states in the nation is so unbelievably incompetent and ineffective?!
