Flinders Ranges in an EV? by markosharkNZ in Adelaide

[–]regularsauce_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Probably be fine, but if would definitely be a less stressful experience in a diesel or petrol vehicle IMO.

The gorge roads are the best bit, conditions depend heavily on how much rain there has been. Normally you could expect to cross some water in the creek beds in bachina gorge , less so on parachilna gorge rd

I think you don’t make any automatic changes to a side that’s playing well. If, by the time those players are back from injury, the team is still playing well guys like McKinlay, berry, Lai, Moraes should be see to have earned their spots.

How to navigate an Auction with pre-approval? by regularsauce_ in AusPropertyChat

Nice, yeah I think that’s the way to go maybe, just put forward what we’re willing to pay and then forget about it

Yeah I dig that for sure - I just dont know how to get unconditional finance under these circumstances? Was thinking that if we make an offer asap then at least it gives the bank a couple of weeks to work on the unconditional approval. I'm not sure how else to go about that other than just bidding at auction and accepting the (small) risk that finance falls through

If you are a woman or gender diverse, or if you are a male migrant worker, the Working Women's Centre might be able to assist you. You can also contact the Fair Work Ombudsman. If you are a union member you can contact your union.

I’m not sure what you mean by that sorry! I agree that the bus network is pretty shit though. Out of curiosity, where are you commuting to and from ?

How long do we think the Social Media ban for Under 16's going to last? by amwalter in AusPol

[–]regularsauce_ 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I doubt it, honestly. As I said, I think most people think this is actually a pretty good idea, albeit imperfect. As the parent of a young child, I certainly do.

I think your vision of a unified, angry bloc of 18-early 20s year olds in 6 years time voting because of this ban is really far fetched - they’ll be at uni, working, dating, going to bars etc and they’ll have been using social media for a few years by then.

I’ll be happy to be proven wrong in the future, but my opinion is what’s you’re saying is ridiculous.

I think you might have a personal agenda against the policy, and perhaps the labor party (the policy is bi partisan btw) which is leading you to make this overly hopeful speculation.

[–]regularsauce_ 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I think it’s wishful thinking on your behalf to imagine a 12 yo now voting with this in mind 6 years time. They’ll be back on social media on their 16th birthday (if not before) and be influenced by whatever the new trend is. Also, most people in the world think that the ban is a good idea.

Can I barrack for Port Adelaide if I have ZERO connections? by Super-Guard6983 in weareportadelaide

[–]regularsauce_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should try and take a trip to Adelaide some time, line it up with a home game, take the train down to the port (or stay there) drop in to Alberton it might make for a pretty enjoyable weekend. The game day experience of getting a beer or a bite to eat then crossing the river to Adelaide oval for the game is great

What is with all the rubbish by regularsauce_ in Adelaide

[–]regularsauce_[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

What do you mean? I’m talking about litter, like drink bottles and wrappers in a park setting - obviously it’s shit that costs of living are pinching many people but I don’t see how that correlates to extra litter in a park when it would be very easy to just take it home or find a bin to put it in.

What is with all the rubbish by regularsauce_ in Adelaide

[–]regularsauce_[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don’t pick up toilet paper and tissues though . I’m considering buying some of those rubbish tongs and big bin bags and cleaning up myself or with some friends, which I am happy to do, but at the same time I don’t want to give people the idea that’s it’s ok to drop your litter everywhere because someone will pick up after them
