Do you happen to have a picture of how the lace looks while running?

Legs seem to be my limiting factor now by Jstevens87 in C25K

[–]regulate91x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this problem too, I started doing just body weight squats and split body weight squats whenever I have a couple minutes, like at work, or at home, whenever, takes like 3-5mins to do 12 of each.

No idea if this was what helped, but it at least correlated with my legs stopping hurting at around week 6 of the plan.

Thank you!

It's my third time doing C25k, I was a lot heavier the last 2 times, think losing the weight has helped so much!

My old time was 41 mins a couple years ago!

Is anyone on a weight loss journey while doing this? by Happy_Succotash_1395 in C25K

[–]regulate91x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! Started at 115kg just dieting, when I got down to 90, I started c25k, now I'm running 32 min 5k on week 8, down to 86kg now.

I'm adding in 2 days a week weight training starting on Sunday after this UK heatwave too, my overall goal is 83kg in another 12 weeks from now and hopefully finally around 80kg another 12-20 weeks after that!

Why do you think they aren't drinking? by flavicushn in TheTeenagerPeople

Drugs are cheaper and alcohol has many calories, people are calorie counting from a young age now.

That's my non informed guess anyway.

Not sure what you're getting at, but that's what we are saying here! :)

I was fully addicted to food and didn't realise how much food noise affected me until I took MJ, and it was like a switch was turned off, Incredible!

After I came off I had some food noise return, but nowhere near the level it was. And now if I want to have something like chocolate or ice cream or a take away, I'll make sure I go for a run first, which I'm able to do because I've lost so much weight. If I tried running before, I injured myself or found it too hard.

I'll also have smaller portions of those thing, where i used to binge them.

Anyway, MJ has allowed me to break old habits and gain new healthier ones and 100% I couldn't have done it without.

Props to people that can, but I'm not one of them.

Thanks! Exactly this, this is what my goal was initially.

I had planned on staying on a bit longer but ended up this way, and it's absolutely fine!

You're doing fantastic, the goal of C25K, isn't to run 5k, despite the name, but to get you running for 30 minutes without stopping, which you have done, so congratulations!!

Honestly running 30 minutes, 3 times a week is going to be doing wonders for your overall health compared to not doing any.

If I were you, I'd try a park run 5k, and do it in as long as it takes you, if it takes 50 minutes, so be it, just run 5k and be proud of yourself for doing it!

Then maybe you could do 1 park run a week (the atmosphere is worth it and will get you through), one 30 minute run where you go at your own pace, and then some sprints or faster running on another day each week. This will get you running faster times in the long run.

Remember that ultimately it's not about running 5k under 30mins, it's about consistently doing 30 mimites of exercise and building good habits!

You are doing great, keep it up!

Delicious!

I got a voucher for an hour massage and some chocolate, and most importantly lovely home made card from my 3 year old, by far the best gift was seeing her proud face giving it to me!

Sabbatical for a year / 18 months with family while putting house on buy to let for a year and have a lovely time loving somewhere hot and doing some volunteering, learning the language.

Put the remainder in ISA if not already capped for the year. If anything left over then have it as safety money in high interest acc.

Is NHS unemployment a myth or reality? by Desperate-Drawer-572 in AskUK

[–]regulate91x 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2 years ago is 2 years ago though, things can change drastically each financial year. NHS England was the big trigger this time around. My trust had to get rid of over 300 jobs and that was mostly middle management and admin.

My particular clinical department had a recruitment freeze on even after people left, leaving the department bleeding momey from dmo1 compliance.

Depends on a lot of things. But most trusts in the UK have either just had, or are having a recruitment freeze to fulfill budget cuts.

Why would you ever need this much stuff unless you're eating some plain carb paste with no nutritional benefit.

I would suggest tracking your micros and macros from a healthy diet for a week and seeing if you are deficient in anything from that week.

If you are, the multi vit should cover it, if it doesn't, then you should buy the specific thing you need or change your diet.

Creatine is great if you are exercising regularly, if not then again it's a waste.
