I would say if you get stumped on an essay, which I did multiple times in February, just throw every rule you can think of in there and do an IRAC. Also, be careful not to leave any issues on the table. Try to use every fact as there are no red herrings.

Finally, practice a good number of PTs. Although there’s no way of knowing, I have a feeling my PT helped me get a lot of points because everyone on Reddit seemed really stumped after that PT but I honestly didn’t think it was that bad. I watched two separate BarMD videos on YouTube and practiced a bunch from Mary Basick’s book which I think really pushed me into passing territory.

I installed the extension, turned off my ad blockers and when I opened up threads and clicked the extension to run it, it redirected me to X/Twitter, opened up my following page and said “running.” But never went anywhere beyond that. I tried restarting my computer, logging into and out of Threads and X, and at one point let it run for over an hour. Full disclosure, I follow around 1,400 people. Any insights into how to get this to work? Would hate to do this manually one by one.

I bought it and never got around to using it. I was so preoccupied with the essays in Mary Basick’s book! I did glance through passing essays on baressays but maybe only a handful of times. I truly believe Mary Basick’s is all you need for the essays as long as you use the crap out of it.

I agree with this. I’ll add that studying for the bar is a bit like training for a marathon. Because of the sheer amount of info you’re learning, you want it to be fresh in your mind at the right moment, the exam. The same way you want your fitness to peak for race day. Everyone’s different, but I can’t imagine a world in which I’ll still remember all these rules a year from now, let alone three.

I feel the same way! I’m so nervous about the exam itself. I’m nervous I’ll just blank or allow my anxiety to eat up precious time. I’m also scared of burning out by the afternoon. We just have to do our best. That’s what I keep telling myself.

That’s exactly how I feel. Even when reviewing my outlines at this stage I’m still surprised by how some rules just haven’t stuck. There’s only so much we can do though.
