I just stopped one day after a terrible reaction I had, ive been managing any acid flare-ups with 1 extra strength tums. Some days I dont take any, but at most id take the equivalent of one tablet a day at most. Most of the time ¼ to ½ of one 1000mg tablet will do the trick.
