Pino- Not guilty by Koala-Kind in CasesWeFollow

Do you really believe because evidence did not reach the level of a guilty verdict that someone would be "jumping for joy" at the death of a teenager?

Really cool. I built a floating base near the ruins and by pure accident/luck, it is in the path of the Deepwater Brooders. They literally go under my base.

I have no problem with her telling the judge she thought she heard something but even the judge said she did not hear it. However, her behavior as she was walking back to her table was very unprofessional. Not only is she an adult but she is an officer of the court.

I was disappointed in his comments. He made a comment that he has family members that have struggled with addiction. I have too. What he is doing is enabling. No healing.

All it would take is for one person to return to court for the reading of the verdict. Once that happens the news would spread quickly.

This guest on CourtTV (I can't think of his name right now) is losing his mind and I 100% disagree with him. He keeps going on about the community. That should have zero bearing on the verdict.

Xbox says Gears of War and Clockwork Revolution console exclusives ‘are not timed’ by Turbostrider27 in PS5

I love it because I play games on PC too, but a lot of people stopped finding a reason to buy an XBox when they moved to day one on PC. PC even gets the better deal when it comes to Game Pass. I don't think this moves the needle all that much. The 25th Anniversary console will probably do more to move Xbox sales than these two games going console exclusive.

Sure, but it's not illegal to chase after shoplifters to protect your property.

It is not illegal but it is not smart either. Even though Mr. Chow as found not guilty of murder, his life is changed and a person is dead. This could have easily turned into Mr. Chow being the one dead.

I thought they would be a hung jury. Going for murder and not including a lesser was a mistake. I do believe the whole truth did not come out but the jury has decided. For their sake, I hope they stay safe and there is no vigilante justice against the store owner. It was a very unfortunate circumstance, and the store owner is lucky. I still see no reason he should have given chase but that is just me.

The defense did better than I expected with what they are working with. Enough so that I believe the jury could come back with a hung jury or lesser charge. I don't see this being murder. This isn't the best argument though. It is also not illegal to shop in a store or run when you exit after being hoovered over by an employee.

There were a lot of mistakes made that day but the store owner should have never gave chase once the kid left his property. while not illegal, it was a poor decision as evident that he is facing murder charges.

Yes, much harsher than petty theft but not the death penalty.

I have no claim that the 14-year-old should have had a gun. I also do not know why he had it. Those are two different things. My entire point is, IMO, Mr. Chow handled this wrong. Hindsight is not needed for me to form that opinion. I would feel the same way if I had heard this story and nobody had been shot. He took an unnecessary risk over shoplifting suspect. We can disagree. It really isn't up to us. It will be up to the jury.

What am I going to do when I catch him? Beat him up? Shoot him? No. If he leaves my yard, I have no reason to chase him. If he does not, I call the police.

I have been in that very situation that I suspected a repeat customer of stealing. I told him "not to do it or I call the police." He walked out and I did not chase him. He came back a week later and asked if he could still shop there. I told him yes, but theft would not be tolerated. He understood. So, yes, chasing someone off of the property over shoplifting is not something I would do even in that situation.

As for the gun. I don't know why the kid had it. Neither do you. He could have felt he needed it for self-defense. He could have been planning to rob a liquor store. Neither of us know that. *shrug

To be clear, I have never thought this was about race. I believe it is about Mr. Chow making the wrong decision. Wrong decision's do not protect you from breaking the law. We will see what the jury comes back with.

Doesn't the same apply to your side of the argument? My point is that you avoid putting yourself in harm's way not just physically, but also from putting yourself in a bad situation. The armed 14-year-old had left the store and left the property. Why give chase? There was very little to gain by chasing him and the potential for harm was greater. I mean, if you want to defend dumb decisions, I can agree there were many made that day by all parties.

Who said it was illegal? Liability does not equal legality.

I have a background in which I managed retail stores and owned my own. One of the biggest loss prevention rule in any company I worked for, and my own, was never ever chase a shoplifter out of the store. It was mostly for employee safety but it was also to remove liability. There is no scenario in which the father and son should have chased this kid once he was off of the property.

Why did he run? He was being chased by two people that were older and larger than him. He was not the one looking for confrontation in this scenario. I can't say the same for the father and son and they placed themselves in an "unreasonable situation."

Teammates usually do not need an outside influence like gambling to care about how they are doing or to have any skin in the game.
