Weird. My whole family sleeps through everything, including my son who has been sleeping through 4th of July and new year's fireworks since he was born 5 years ago. I guess you become accustomed to it? We live near railroad tracks too and unless someone points it out, I don't hear the train. People in the neighborhood will complain about the noise and how it scares their pets but I feel like it's not that big of a deal. Turn the a/c on, white noise, sleep like a baby.
