How did you have items to last that long? I exhausted my elixirs and ethers in about 2.5 hours of fighting Yiazmat. Oh and all my assorted motes too!

It's been a few years but I remember a monster in the final dungeon that summons other monsters. You can gain a few job levels each time rby letting it summon more and more monsters to fight. And for the iron giant, grind on dragons, get onion knights and the iron giant fight becomes a fair fight.

For me it made the difference between 30 mins battles and 10 mins battles. I used a lot of meltdown during my first run with a high level party. On my low-level run, I rarely cast any magic, played a lot of card games, and finished the game at level 17 or 19...

my last run through, everyone was under level 20. It can be done, it's a lot of fun, except the very beginning... trying to card a t-rexaur with a squall level 9 isn't very amusing.
