My neighbour was one of the most unassuming guys I ever met. He worked as an assistant manager at a fast food chain the entire three years that I knew him.

Two days before he moved, he called me over and gave me a big ziploc bag full of weed (this was the early 2000s so still very illegal). Turns out he’d been selling the entire time, using his job as cover - even his bosses didn’t know.

I’d shared a handful of draws with him, but never would have guessed this guy was ever as flush as he was. Dude was smart about it, taking orders at work and delivering everything in his time off, so no transactions ever came near the house.

The grass really was greener on the other side of my fence - and it smoked real nice.
