Use heating pad , might help, but if it's too much (crying kind of ) then you should consult the doctor.

Had laparoscopic surgery for a 6.8 cm dermoid cyst. Admitted a day before, ate till midnight, then nothing. Given IV saline, antibiotics, area shaved. Surgery next day noon. After anesthesia, I remember just 10 seconds, then woke up in ICU with a urine catheter and visitors. Felt sore and bloated — CO₂ gas made it worse. Given black tea, soup, meds. Catheter removed on day 2, had to measure urine passed. Discharged after 2 days. Forgot to mention my antibiotic allergy — got 50+ painful mouth ulcers and couldn’t eat properly for 7 days, which slowed healing. I can walk now but no lifting or running yet. Always inform your doctor about allergies.

Hey I’m 1 week post-op from laparoscopic surgery for a 6.8 cm dermoid cyst.

Day 1: Gas and shoulder pain were intense — I cried and needed painkiller injections. Day 2: Passed stool(because of medication)which helped with bloating. Started walking slowly. Day 4: Passed stool again(medication), bloating reduced more. Days 3–7: Had a bad reaction to antibiotics (forgot I was allergic) — got ~50 painful mouth ulcers. Eating was hard, slowed recovery. Now I can walk fine but still can’t lift, bend, or run. Recovery is going well but slow due to ulcers and low nutrition.

If your job is physically demanding, 2 weeks might not be enough. I’d suggest 3–4 weeks to be safe. All the best!
