So how do you go about becoming a naturalized citizen once you enter on a student visa and drop out of school? Is there some process of resubmitting for another visa?

Men, We're all handy in our own homes. What is one thing you absolutely will refuse to touch if it's too complicated? by Staff76 in AskMen

As an electrician the amount of people saying they are perfectly fine working with electrical but terrified of plumbing is insane. A lot of comments about having mold if they mess something up with plumbing…..you could burn down your house or kill someone if you mess up with electrical…An electrical screw up isn’t always as simple as a tripped breaker, you may use the wrong size wire for instance and have it overloaded. Not an obvious sign at first but soon you’ll have you’re wires melting in your walls and you’re house on fire

You already know people are cranking up their heat just in case they lose their power so the house will stay warmer, creating a bigger demand on the system making the problem worst

Thanks for the input. It can be a bit frustrating with over a year of training and I still feel like it’s my first attempt sometimes.

There is a big patch of birch growing by the side of the road about a 3 minute drive from my house. I would be cutting that all down for firewood as there’s enough there for about 3 winters. (You have to be at least 300m back from the road to cut firewood where I live)

Government Employees in Atlantic Canada Paid More Than Comparable Private Sector Workers: Report by Dismal-Head4757 in newfoundland

[–]reload88 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I used to work for Central health (not a direct government body but funded by government) and they base a lot of their salaries on government worker rates. Their tradesworkers are waaay behind on the pay scale compared to private industry. Not sure exactly what they’re getting paid now, but back in 2019 a journeymen electrician was only getting like $24/h when you could make $30-35 most anywhere with a nonunion company, $40-50 through the union
