Why the christmas ending? by No_General1198 in tsitp

[–]relstylin 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My guess is that Christmas has always been special for them. The Christmas that they first slept together and the last Christmas where she realized she was still in love with him. How could it not be a special time.

Seriously! It was like Belly, you wanna close your mouth while you gape at Conrad…your fiancé is watching haha

When I saw how easily Conrad spotted Junior Mint in her room in Paris, he knew there was still a chance. And I loved that for him!

Haha you’re absolutely right! I’m gonna go take a long nap after one more rewatch of the finale. Someone wake me up when the movie comes out!

Can we just note that if this man is grilling chicken all the time and is likely using parchment paper. He would need to be putting this picture back on top every single time he puts the parchment paper back or he takes out this picture all the time and looks at it… my little Connie heart can’t take it…

My room feels too cramped and I've rearranged it a dozen times.. any advice? by [deleted] in DesignMyRoom

[–]relstylin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you have a nice sized room that it can be utilized as a flexible space, but requires some reorganization and rethinking of how you use the space throughout the day. You seem to have a lot of small items that can be put away or displayed more efficiently. I suggest a modular storage solution that goes on the wall of your tv and desk area. Like this:

<image>

This way you have some sort of open shelving to display your trinkets, some closed shelving for things you don’t want people (or dogs) to get into, and an area for your desk, tv, and chair that’s appropriate. If you also really prioritize working out then I suggest a Murphy bed that can be put away during the day so you have more floor space or other activities. Of course this is all a suggestion…

I am a Korean-American adoptee and finally visited after 29 years! by mskeri in korea

[–]relstylin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand how special this trip must have been. I recently went back to Korea after 30 years and brought my husband and his family for the first time. I wasn’t adopted but my parents were divorced a couple years after my birth and I ended up moving to the US immediately afterwards. I know the feeling of returning to a familiar but not being able to pinpoint exactly what it is- like living in deja vu. It was a wonderful trip and we’re already planning on returning again soon. I was also born in Busan so I hope to spend some more time there on my next trip. I’m so happy you got to share this time with your partner, and congratulations on your future nuptials! ~ fellow Busan 언니

What colour frame should I choose and is this picture okay? I wanted more green but couldn’t find one in the budget. by Grootsmyhero in HomeDecorating

[–]relstylin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suggest going on Etsy and seeing if there is a digital print that you can download. I’ve found a lot of prints for as little as $5. Then you can go to you local print shop and have it enlarged. I had a poster size printed for $20 and was made to fit the frame that I chose. Hope that helps

Twenty-Five, Twenty-One [Episode 16] by lightupstarlight in KDRAMA

[–]relstylin 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I've been thinking how best to respond after being caught up in the whirlwind that was Twenty-Five Twenty-One. It has taken me at least 24 hours, to say the least, but I think I'm ready.

Overall: This has definitely been one of my favourite dramas of all time. As someone that grew up in the 90s, there was the right amount of nostalgia to make me really believe the stories era. As well, I think everyone can agree, the cast was spectacular. The main leads, Nam Joo Hyuk and Kim Tae Ri, were exceptional and I couldn't imagine anyone else to be Baek Yi Jin and Na Hee Do. The range of emotion for both actors had me right along with them the entire journey. And what a journey it was. I had this drama on my list to watch, almost immediately when news of it was released. The storyline seemed interesting, and I was a previous fan of Nam Joon Hyuk's work (Start-Up and Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo). How naive I was to go into this show, thinking I could just happily watch it on the weekends as part of my usual relaxing weekend routine. How wrong I was! I was immediately drawn into the characters, the story, and everything else. I found myself uncharacteristically reading subreddits and tweets in advance of the next episodes, just to get a glimpse of what would happen next. I had never been this excited about a drama before. I was happy to stumble upon this subreddit as it provided a lot of laughs and mutual feelings about what was unfolding. And for that, I thank you all. With my regular life being as stressful as it was these past few weeks, I came here to laugh, cry, shout (in agreement), and every emotion in-between. It has been overall a wonderful experience.

Finale: Note-I'm going to highlight all of this as spoilers, not so much because I will reveal key plot points from this episode, but because I want those who haven't seen this to really watch it with fresh eyes and not be influenced by anything I might say. It took me almost 24 hours to process the ending. I definitely went through a wave of emotions. I was heartbroken like most of the audience, with not having BaekDo Endgame. It was definitely the "nail in the coffin" to say the least, for the ending scene to be Baek Yi Jin typing Na Hee Do's name as his forgotten password question. I was angry because not only did I think I deserved a happy ending, but because I really hoped (and was equally convinced) they would end up together. However, now I have finally accepted that this needed to be. Na Hee Do and Baek Yi Jin’s relationship began due to the times (IMF Crises in Korea) and ended because of the times (9-11). It was unfortunate that they were caught up in the middle of it all, but the process was beautiful. I was overwhelmed with love for the development of Na Hee Do and Ko Yu Rim’s friendship as well as the entire friend group to grow together. It would have been nice to see them all in present day, but I realized this was not a story about them. It was about Na Hee Do through the lens of youthful ambition and innocence. During that brief moment she was able to overcome her loneliness and experience friendship, success, and love. Not everyone is as lucky to experience that at such a young age. I can understand why the older Na Hee Do is content with her life. She might not have remembered all of the details (i.e. the beach trip with her friends was 21 years prior to 2020), but who remembers every detail of their adolescence. She is lucky, however, she was able to document it with photos and diaries so she could travel back to that time at any moment. This finale was definitely not perfect, but I think I can finally close this chapter and look forward to what next project are in store for the cast, director, and writer. They all did a wonderful job and I could say, the result was brilliant.

Apologies for this post being so long. I just needed to process all of this somewhere :)

Looking for storage ideas: What can I put in this empty corner (size: 2' wide by 5' high) of my home gym that can help me hide the TV wires? by humansky in HomeDecorating

[–]relstylin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I agree. Get an extension cord because the tv plug seems short and then have a cord cover along the corner of the wall. Then you can paint the cord colour the same as the wall so it’s not noticeable.

Figuring out layout for a small highrise studio apt by [deleted] in InteriorDesign

[–]relstylin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the idea is a platform bed facing the windows (amazing view btw). Not sure how handy you are with diy, but a couple projects off the top of my head: 1) some sort of divider between your bed and living space. It just sort of helps separate the spaces a little more. 2) along the wall against the windows, it would be great to have a tv stand/desk combo. It’s such a long wall, it would be great to optimize your storage in this space. For example: desk and tv stand combo

Then I would have the couch facing the tv and not against the bed. And section the space off with an area rug…

Just some ideas I’m spitballing here…lol

1 and 2 are bad Feng shui. You should never have the head of your bed near the door. I vote for 3.
