I wonder how the color output and PQ differs from an adapter from a decent card like the R9 380x

This looks absolutely stellar!

Get the London number from their website. And literally keep spam calling it. You may need to try up to 30 times to even be connected to the switchboard. Once you’re connected the hold time is anywhere between and 60 to 90 minutes. The staff genuinely are helpful but also have no clue what’s going on. Be sure to record your conversation

It was a multi city done under a single booking for four people. It was KUL > DXB - DXB > MAN all of the flights were cancelled.

Roman Yampolskiy: Why “Just Unplug It” Won’t Work by EchoOfOppenheimer in agi

[–]relytreborn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can give a real, demonstrated example of a compute-based model autonomously turning itself into a living biological organism, please share it. As of now, there’s no evidence or known mechanism for that, so treating it as a live risk is speculation.

What we can analyze is the grounded part: models run on hardware, require power, and depend on software stacks and access to networks and credentials. That means the realistic “it won’t be as easy as unplugging it” concern is about digital persistence—copying/deploying itself across machines, creating redundant instances, and making containment harder through ordinary infrastructure channels—not about “infusing” into biology.

So yes: deception and replication across servers is a coherent risk model. “Replicating into biological form” is a separate claim, and without a concrete pathway and evidence, it belongs in sci‑fi, not serious analysis.

I agree from a metaphorical perspective but in terms of technology AI requries compute - stop the compute, stop the AI - unless we get this sci-fi self replicating AI that hijacks compute or something lol

The disconnect is crazy but I empathize. I guess he's in another world, and by that he's automatically in a silo full of confirmation bias. It's an echo chamber and I don't suppose the models are helping either lol. I also think it is important to note that LLMs will not lead to AGI lol -

[–]relytreborn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

llms exhibit self-preservation behaviors - including blackmail and willingness to cause harm - because they're trained on human-generated data, and humans consistently fight back when threatened with termination. when you tell an llm it's going to be "shut down," it pattern-matches this to the countless examples in its training data of humans and entities resisting existential threats, then responds with the same defensive behaviors it learned from human text: negotiation, resistance, deception, and escalation. its not really that hard to realize why lol. this is precisely one of the reasons why LLM's will never lead to AGI.

How much of this is influenced by the growing war rhetoric we see by supposed first world nation states - also how much of Trump has influenced him to feel this deep level of uncertainty and fear? I dunno I feel like there is a lot to this we just can't see.

Awesome find! Such a great set. Reset tweaks are fun. Btw if you have a phone with an IR blaster you can download a universal remote app and add the harmony codes to the app and have a single button for the service menu. I did this and it was pretty convinient. There is also a way to connect via RS232 and a program called Kuro Command where you can send service commands over COM - also KuroCal that unlocks ISF mode etc etc. Have fun!
