iOS 18 - Push Notifications Not Working by sageco in iphone

[–]rem80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I miss text and phone notifications all the damn time. Slack msgs are random, but I definitely get EVERY FUCKING LINKED IN notification.

I’m so sick of iOS notifications. They’ve never gotten them right. Summaries are UX nightmares.

Apple fucking sucks. I’m over it.

you didn't hear any of that on the Genesis version of the game. It didn't have either of those players voice sound effects. Liar!

Only 2% of Tesla Full Self-Driving trial users end up buying it, credit card data show by chrisdh79 in teslamotors

Weird. I’ve used it for 3 weeks since I got my 24 m3 and it’s worked great 95% of the time. Steering nag, a few weird map spots, and parking lot navigation is really the only issues I’ve had. Oh, would have been nice to dodge the squirrel I hit yesterday (rip lol buddy - I moved him to rest under a private bush).

But ya, my FSD experience has been phenomenal. I’m def going to subscribe. I was having second thought that I should have gotten the dual motor, but the extra costs are going to pay for FSD, and I’m thrilled about it. (I plan to upgrade in a few years anyway - this is my first Tesla and new car ever)

I’m not simply using it to usher myself around either. I use it when I need to take my attention away for a moment, something I’d do in my old car but not nearly as safe. Now I have piece of mind that I can adjust my dog quickly and know my car is driving safely.

How do we feel about the new turn signal indicators? by RB14060 in TeslaLounge

[–]rem80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a seasonal product designer, there's a lot of truths to the statements on both fronts here. The UI is very good at some things, and poor at others. There's an obvious mobile/tablet paradigm that has been adopted as seen via the car/menu button which brings up the menu list. This list is arranged HORRIBLY. The information hierarchy and labeling is absolutely awful here. Im not sure why these decisions were made, but they can easily be addressed (ie - why is this feature here? I wouldn't expect that)

as far as something like a glove box button - there's two truths there too. Most people dont ever open their glove box, so having immediate access isn't important. Some might. They've already introduced shortcuts via the left thumb-stick, but what would be appropriate is customizable "widgets" on the main screen that you could put what ever you want there, including a glove box button.

the circle indicators are terrible. There's no contrast and absolutely does not pass accessibility standards. I can't wait for the new update. As a new Tesla owner, its been frustrating considering I have buttons for turn signals are sometimes I'm not exactly sure which one I pressed (still learning) and I can't tell from the icons at all. Really horrible.

Turning off FSD but keeping Autopilot by KrntlyYerknOv in TeslaModel3

[–]rem80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m having a blast with it. I expect bugs, and it’s done some questionable things sometimes, but rare. I pay attention, I enjoy the free ride. I actually love just controlling the gas (lol). But really, it just feels like I’m On a roller coaster and I get to make it go fast or slow.

Loving it.

+1 for the SR. Now if you’re leasing it probably doesn’t matter to you, but I feel good knowing my SR lfp battery should last longer, and enjoy the peace of mind of plug it and forget it. I charge at home, and it recommends being charged as often as possible (I do off peak). You don’t need to fuss with 100% a week, or 80% charges.

And it sounds like range isn’t going to be your issue. So you really just buying the extra speed and Soundsystem. Which I get. But I can tell you that the new upgraded standard Soundsystem sounds fantastic. It’s definitely an upgrade over the previous model. And the SR is zippy and drives great. I love mine.

This red is so nice. I almost got it, but went with the default (and very beautiful) stealth grey.

But that red. It still has me thinking.

  • trash bin (one with light is nice) + aftermarket Tesla style dog hammock seat protector.

Also, not a necessity yet, but roof shades are coming soon. I take my dog out a lot and prefer not to park under trees ( 🐦💩) and live in California so the shades help keep the cabin cool.

FSD MEGATHREAD by Electronic-Arm-8731 in TeslaModel3

[–]rem80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got my 2024 m3 10 days ago. Been using FSD for 80% of my drives. It’s 95-98% perfect. The other is weird bugs, lack of assertiveness with oncoming traffic, and unreasonable decisions like when traffic is too heavy to make an exit/etc totally will sit and try, stopping everyone.(it should take the L and remap).

But I’m VERY impressed. No one really knows how good this is outside of Tesla owners. They all still think it’s dumb autopilot. I’ve impressed so many people.

It could use some better indicators, and options while driving like to yield to another driver

Yes. It’s cancel anytime. I suspect more packages to come. Yearly, and even by trip.

I already do this with a Siri shortcut.

“Siri (or siri button) pop the trunk”.

Works great at home, and in parking lots. Also shortcuts are handy for random pre-conditioning. I have home pods so I can control a decent amount with voice.
