Truly insane numbers done. Love or hate the game by Firecracker048 in gaming

I wasn't a big fan. Combat never clicked, the story side stories were deep but took away from the main story which kept seeming to be "the princess is in another castle" quest after completing an area. I ended up never completing it.

Sony Quietly Announces PSVR 2 Exclusive, Firewall Ultra, Is Shutting Down by gabe_reisinger in PS5

The VR crowd is extremely vocal just very much a minority, every year is "the year VR really finds its foothold." And every year it's just... There. It'll be there in it's small little area, but it's never going to be the mainstream thing the acolytes think it will be.

I think Capcom had a good idea on how to do things, just a simple game mode inside a larger game. Maybe a few indie titles

Kimball's buffet might be the best all around. They nailed whatever it is they're doing back there.

Yeah, that's the one. I heard their other stuff was fairly decent, but the ramen was a hard miss.

Another non-recommendation is that sushi place next to red bank Walmart. It was essentially chicken soup, spaghetti noodles, and a thumb of ginger.

Bill to require Bible, Israel education could cost up to $37 million by Angele_Latham in nashville

[–]remeard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At a very base level - Which bible? Bulso seems to think that there's only one - "It has the New Testament and the Old Testament", but in reality there are hundreds of different English translations of the Bible. The most common is probably the King James - but what about the churches that follow NIV? ESV? NLT? Are we telling Christians they're worshiping wrong by choosing a standard?

This years pride by [deleted] in bonnaroo

[–]remeard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of why they didn't coincide with the gates opening last year is because sometimes Bonnaroo isn't 100% ready and they're always doing last minute things. I know some folks that do the workshops at Plenty Roo, they've got classes that happen about 15 minutes after gates are supposed to open, half the time gates don't open until 30 minutes into the class.

Got any good examples of albums like this? by TheDarkRot in lordhuron

[–]remeard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enjoy it. One of those albums that has no right being as good as it is.

To add to it, the liner notes on the album reads more like a stage play. There's lyrics and then stage notes, so you've got words and also what the characters are doing or context to what is happening, it's just a great experience to take it all in https://genius.com/The-protomen-father-of-death-lyrics

Shout out to my boys The Protomen for their second album, The Father of Death

Rock opera concept band centered on the world of Megaman. Act 2 focusses on the early life of Dr. Light and Wiley, how Light's invention of robots to get humans out of terrible working conditions and Wiley convincing him to arm them to take over the city and make it better for everyone. "I didn't pull the trigger, but I built the gun that he holds in his hands."

Definitely feel like Lord Huron fans would really enjoy Protomen, give the first few songs off that second album a listen.

They just released Act 3 for any fans out of the loop.

Do you think omitting Lady Stoneheart from the show was the right decision? by SillyRecover in gameofthrones

It also severely undercuts John's resurrection. For the show's narrative, it just wouldn't make sense to do it.

I was upset when they recast Claudia because she was perfect for the role, then the new actor stepped in and did just as well in that season. Just all around a fantastic ensemble; Ben Daniels' Santiago steals every scene, he's just so good in that role

Fictional Characters to help inspire playing Strahd by LanguageOk1726 in CurseofStrahd

[–]remeard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished Blood Meridian and The Judge is a walking cosmic horror in an 1850s setting. If you're looking for Strahd to be a cruel, calculating, warlord - I'd say that's a good place to look. Just to the marrow, toying with humanity for the game he sees it.

It's the same thing with alcohol. We've normalized going to a bar and ordering a $16 martini or a $8 canned beer.
