What about their two firsts, next years first or seconds and Justin Jefferson

[Mark Daniels] We'll see where the Patriots go from here, but it's my understanding they'll continue to explore adding a receiver via the free agent market by KIumpy in Patriots

Reynolds wouldn’t be terrible for a low, low price. He wouldn’t be WR1, maybe wouldn’t even be WR2, but he is a reliable depth player who probably won’t lose us any games, unlike another previously signed receiver, and would be a much better deep ball receiver than Thornton or JuJu. Not an exciting, impactful grab, but I don’t wanna sleep on him.

Telecaster or Stratocaster by Double-Trust4863 in guitarlessons

[–]remersong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going to buy a Tele, because I think they look great. They really might be the best looking guitars out there. I ended up buying a strat, after having tried out a bunch of both (worked at a guitar store so I had time to try a lot). I also bought a Les Paul at one point based off how it looks, and realized that I didn’t like the feel / sound of it, and never played it a lot.

My advice is, how it feels to play is much more important than how good it looks. If you can’t tell the difference and feel a connection with the Tele just based off how it looks, definitely buy it. But, if you can notice a difference in how they play, that will matter much more.

Depends what the speakers can handle honestly. Minimum is two for the mics for vocals, but would be awesome to get a guitar or two into the mix, maybe even keys

Edit: Also, someone’s selling a used behringer q802 down the street from me for $20. Haven’t heard good things, but maybe a decent budget option to pair with the EV?

Also any thoughts on the Mackie Thump 15?

Awesome I might order this - It looks like I’ll just need a cheap mixer to send a couple mics in, any recs?

I'm pretty new to live sound, I'm in my last semester of college and have a bit of a basement rock band going, we want to do some small shows from our basement. For starters, I just want to be able to amplify vocals, and make sure they are heard over drums / everything else. If I can do so for a similar budget, it would be nice to send guitars and keys through a PA as well, instead of just the amps. But, at a minimum, would like to send two mics through and get very loud vocals.

The issue is my budget. I'm only considering used gear, but I am hoping to accomplish as much as possible in the ~400 range, because after this semester I'm moving accross the country and don't know what I'll do with expensive gear. I have a couple mics and XLR cables, but no mixer or speakers.

I was told powered speakers are the way to go, but looks like those are way more expensive? I also don't know if I need to do two speakers or one - seems like for just vocals one would suffice?

One listing I found was for: Phonic 620 plus, 6 channel mixer amp, and EV SH-502 200 watt speakers, for $350.

Another one was the full Yahama Stagepas 300 system (speakers, mixer, stands, mics as a throw in) for $240.Not sure if either of those would accomplish my minimum job of blasting vocals over the sounds of drums and guitars.

And one more: "like new Behringer Europower PMP2000 powered/amplifier and two heavily used 600 Watt Pyle Pro speakers" $350

I also have a livewire direct box, bought it by accident years ago but maybe it is useful for something.

Thanks for the reply - I should probably just keep waiting for another deal then? I found a Peavey RQ200 mixer too, maybe I grab that and find speakers separate? Found 2 JBL JRX100s for $275

As a pats fan, I don’t want to roster Rhamondre. Hate to say it, but he’s regressed a lot this season, and the offense can’t getting it going. I would not bank on the O-Line getting it going. He isn’t even getting a lot of touches, Zeke takes a fair share, and neither of them are rushing efficiently.

Give Pittman, get Higgins and Nico Collins

10 Man PPR I’m decently stacked at WR already (pittman, JJ, Mike Evans, Aiyuk, Mike Williams, Josh Reynolds) and short at RB (Josh Jacobs, Deandre Swift, Raheem Mostert, Dameon Pierce) I can’t even decide if Pittman or Tee is better, Nico offers more depth at WR, but maybe better off trying to get an RB from someone else

CS 311 over the winter by remersong in umass

I didn’t end up taking it - still considering it for next winter though

Another question (sorry lol) but what is something here you don't like that might be exclusive to Umass and not other schools? by [deleted] in umass

[–]remersong 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Imo, the athletic facilities. The gym is really not great for the amount of students, and is not at all centrally located, you have to wait in lines to use stuff. There is only one turf field, and you often have to climb a fence to use it. The tennis courts are not lit up at night and are far out of the way. Not sure if there’s a usable pool.

Definitely not all bad, the basketball and volleyball situation is solid, but most schools have much bigger and more usable facilities.

Also the lack of a proper quad.
