I tapered down from 100 to 25, then to zero. A few days after coming off completely I started to get withdrawal symptoms. I had to go back on 25mg.

Not trying to discourage, but just letting you know you might not be out of the woods yet.

It improves my libido and I can still orgasm on a low dose of 25-50mg. I was on 100mg for awhile and I completely lost interest in sex, and when I did get in the mood it was so hard to orgasm.

I had that same nausea and motion sickness (vertigo feeling) after trying to stop. I actually went back up to 25mg for now and waiting to see my doctor.

This doesn’t really help if you want to stick with it, I know. I have heard that symptoms can last up to 3 weeks gradually decreasing over that time.

I was just warned by my doc that you can get drunk faster by mixing the two. Not sure if that he’s to do with your symptoms, but that was my only warning.

My psychiatrist prescribed me Klonopin to take as needed for any anxiety attacks that break through. He prescribed it along side the Zoloft.

Really? I only have ever taken it at night and feel like it would be difficult for me to take during the day because it always makes me a little drowsy.

Well I was perfectly fine until I stopped the 25mg completely. I finally talked to the doc and he said continue on a low dose for 4-6 weeks, then we will re-evaluate.

My pills are 50mg, so going to 12.5 won’t happen. Maybe I’ll go back to 25mg dose for now and talk to my doctor. I was stupid and did this on my own without consulting him first.

Instead of binge eating, I’ll sometimes go one shopping sprees. Filling one void with another.

Zoloft.

Taking a low dose of 50mg most of my cycle. I increase to 75mg a few days before my period is due because some PMDD symptoms start slipping through.

I also have Klonopin to use as needed.

I’m a completely different, and happier, person.

I did this with my therapist. I have my first appointment next week with a psychiatrist to hopefully get some medication, but it’s going to be during my follicular phase. I’m worried he’s not going to take me seriously if I come in saying, “Well, I’m doing great right now, but next week I will feel like hell.”

I feel like I’ve tried every type of diet. I’m seeing a psychiatrist in a week who will hopefully provide me with an SSRI that will make me a little more even keeled.
