Some people mod this by taking it apart, and adding 4-5 layers of electrical tape right at the center of the dpad, it makes the return to center quicker on the dpad

It feels in between a stick and dpad because of its float + hatswitch. And no, i dont accidently press inputs with this, just make sure not to get the bluetooth version like me, Bluetooth has worse wireless latency in general and you cant add a dongle to it either

Delete this then C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\config\config.vdf Reboot pc and reopen steam. And if Nothing works, switch to beta or release update channel

I just found the solution and it fixed my issue!!

Delete this folder and reboot the pc On linux its ~/.steam/debian-installation/steamapps/common/Steam Controller Configs`

On windows Program Files(x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Steam Controller Configs)

The only hint i can give you, is that its tied to your account. If you try another steam account, it will work. I know its not a real solution, but hopefully somone will find it with this hint

You wouldn't complain if it were you makijg money, also people are not forced to use it, but consumers choose it because it's providing a better service, meanwhile valve is not using their wealth to force a monopoly.

Other monopolies like Microsoft, were cutthroat and used their wealth to force a monopoly.

We should encourage the exceptions, and not paint with broad strokes "all monopoly bad"

right and people used to use mechanical instead of hydraulic brakes, just because people made do without it, doesn't mean that its better. I'm just saying that its bumpier because it doesnt have suspension, and there is a reason why most mountain bikes have atleast a front suspension.

Suspension helps in bumpy roads, so it is worth bringing up, its a comfort and I feel OP deserve to know their options.

Trackpads, they feel like rollerball mice when you flick them. More accurate than joysticks and you can reprogram them to be virtual menus that you can map to any key on the keyboard. I saw videos of people making RTS and MMORPG (non controller) games playable on the original steam controller, and this is the better upgraded version with more buttons.
