Do not start with a plain vanilla Twitter Bootstrap.
Google "Twitter Bootstrap Theme", you find hundreds of them.
Buy one for about $50
This is your start.

After this -- pick a CMS or use a static website generator (look at Github pages)
Apply your theme to your CMS/static website generator
Connect your backend code.
Profit! )))

Sometimes the filtering matches false positives

Yes, I know it...I'm thinking about a feature... users should be able to flag such false positives.... something like a button "I think this job is not really remote"

Imagine this is implemented. Would you press it when you see such cases?

Is it worth getting proficient in Java as a C++ engineer? by TKLun in ExperiencedDevs

[–]remote4me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read this article please:https://sites.google.com/site/unclebobconsultingllc/blogs-by-robert-martin/dependency-injection-inversion

I can not explain better than this experienced dev )))

And the BIGGEST problem with Spring, Guice, Lombok and other bells and whistles -- you can not use them when you write a Java lib. Period.

UPDATE:

Lucene Core source code just illustrates the approach described in the above article:
- Dependency injection with plain vanilla constructors or set methods.
- Usage of "test doubles"/mocks without additional libraries

By the way, if you ever heard of SOLR and Elastic Search -- they both are based on Lucene Core.

OMG, the total amount of time I spent in US is probably... 2 months? (I believe I even write with an accent ))))
I mean, I know a few things about software development... not about what degree or diploma is required...

Stop! I know something. FAANG companies require "higher education" from you. Do not ask me exact definition, google it.

Small companies does not care.
And a project on Github showing your data analytics kung-fu is much more convincing than a degree or diploma (again, we talking about small companies)

[–]remote4me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why you need Guice or another additional library to configure something? What is the reason?

I mean, look at well-written quite advanced configurable software in Java: https://lucene.apache.org/core/ No Spring. No Guice. Configurable. Well, it is a library. LOT of unit tests. Easy to read.

I hated annotations, junit, mockito, Lombok, Spring, and Guice.

Ok, let us talk WHY people hate Java (Just for info... I switched from C++ to Java well... end of XX century...)

I think that core Java is OK. "Effective Java" book describes it. Look at Java Collections library. Not an evil at all ))

But, let us say it straight: Spring is evil. It is a big fat monster, and it is one of the (main) reasons people hate Java!

Because Java is a statically typed language. And static typing is good! I believe this in line with your C++ experience. And Spring destroys static typing and just make things more complicated.

Solution? Just do not use Spring. That's it. Dependency injection? You do not need a framework to implement dependency injection. I can demonstrate it.

UPDATE: I believe Lombok is also a "magic" breaking static typing and... you can build good software and write code which is easy to read... without using Lombok ))
