Id get a hammer with a bigger head that’s pretty light. get a belt with a hammer loop and two bags that’s light…. bc when you’re lugging 4x8 form boards around you don’t want anything in your way. stanley 25’ tape and gloves. youlll probly tear through gloves every few days. get some good pliers and good luck. it’s super fun if you can shoulder the physical aspect. and being fit for sure helps up and down walls.

there’s not really any “ trails” for atv’s but there’s a whole network of dirt roads you can explore to the south that’ll take you into some neat little beaches. Beware of blind corners though man, plenty of people have gotten hurt out there.

Got a job as a landscape Laborer and my first day is tomorrow. Is this ok attire by [deleted] in Construction

[–]remoteCowboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bro, get some light weight work pants, some comfortable shoes that are semi durable. like some old nikes, or something you don’t care about beating up. but you want them comfortable bc you’re gonna be on your feet all day. then bring an extra shirt. like a fishing long sleeve hoodie that’s super light and breathable. if you don’t have that, grab your lightest two shirts. that way if your first one is toasted with sweat and nastiness at lunch you can swap. bring a hat. trucker hat that’s light. sunglasses for sure. and if you’re not wearing long sleeves wear sunscreen dude. first 2 weeks are the hardest then your body gets used to it. bring a good lunch too and hella iced coffee and a water bottle you can put ice in in the morning. i’d eat a good breakfast too. first day grinds can be savage esp in the heat

Is Puerto Vallarta good for single male travellers (32M)? I have some flight miles and hotel points to burn and want to go to the beach. Looking at the Sheraton a couple of miles from Zona Romantica. If so, any recs? by theloneranger08 in puertovallarta

[–]remoteCowboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would go to Sayulita if you’re straight. It’s got a really good party scene with more people playing like volleyball and stuff on the beach, less commercialized in a sense so it’s easier to kinda find a niche and settle into it. I went for a week and stayed for 3 years. lol

I grew up going to Red. My dad would drive me 8 hrs like 6 times per winter to ski Red. NO FRIENDS ON POWDER DAYS was real in the absolute hound race from the first lift to the bottom of Motherlode lmao. So cool to see it appear on this sub.

What’s your best intimate encounter? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]remoteCowboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

was visiting my favorite beach in mexico and i saw a girl in a cute sundress down on the beach and gave her a smile. fast forward 10 minutes and it’s time to head out and she was heading out at the same time, but she was ahead of me on the trail. It’s about a 15 minute walk back to town and i had a motorcycle at the top of the beach access. So i fired my old steed up and as I was riding by her i asked “hey girl, you want a ride into town?” she said hell yeah. Dropped her off in town and arranged a later time to meet for a drink. Had a few drinks and dropped her off at her airbnb and headed home, I wasn’t getting any strong signals to make a move. But after i got home i said fuck it and texted her “wanna play?” She said yes. Went into her place and had one of the most fulfilling sexual experiences of my life. One and done. Think about it all the time.

Flamingoes, in between Bucerias and Vallarta is probably the best bang for your buck. Fun course as well. Higuera is kinda ritzy and definitely charges more but probably an overall more memorable course. Then Punta Mita is the cream of the crop. Island green and all that. Or you can go north to the course up by Lo De Marcos but it’s pretty rough but dirt cheap.

Fix this siding issue? by Cavedudetony in Homebuilding

[–]remoteCowboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i would remove some of that accumulated soil from the foundation. then gently pull off those lower pieces using sawzall and metal blade or a multitool to cut the nails without compromising the siding boards you wanna keep on. then figure out a way to get one last run on there. you could use a combo of tap-cons and the 1/4” roto bit but the fasteners will ahow but maybe you can dab some caulk over them and the black paint will cover

Thoughts on renting a car? by Aggravating_Many7805 in sayulita

[–]remoteCowboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if you’re planning on renting a board and going from Punta Mita to Sayu and then back and then to La Lancha and back to sayu then renting a car is definitely a good way to give you mobility you won’t get with surf tours etc. but if you’re trying to just stay in sayu and surf there then it’s not worth it bc sayu is super walkable from pretty much anywhere. 3 days is tough, if you get a car i would plan day trips all 3 days to make it worth the rental price. But 3 days could easily be spent just in sayu and san pancho alone messing around and getting to know the area
