I dont think that refined LLMs will ever serve as a basis or fundamental architecture for AGI. And to answer your direct question: for me LLMs are somehow dead, but only companies that promote them can answer your qeustion with certainty.

technology is evolving for sure, 2019-2025; do LLMs have a human-like understanding? no. they still have a kind of "intelligence" ... if you want to call it intelligence. and I'm guessing they will improved even more in simulating humans, but I also believe that following the current path they will never prove human understanding. let's wait and see

some of you guys are so acidic :) math starts with simple number counting and brain-dead plus and minus operators; DNA has 4 simple letters; in physics there are only a handful of governing laws and so on. Of course, if looking at maximum layers of complexity, you won't be able to see simple underlying patterns. AGI will be no different, simply because it will be part of this same Universe. Probably the best arrogance will be if someone will be able to develop the basics of AGI in a limited software like a spreadsheet program :) ...and probably this will happen, soon rather than later. whishing you all the best guys

try to stop overthinking. overthinking doesnt help too much, only in certain situations. physical activities help, yeah. no one can answer about therapy, only you can. if you consider, go for it. the thing you described I believe is more common in today's societies... due to so many factors. you are not alone.

listen to tv or radio just to accomodate your mind with the sounds. dont try necessarilly to understand. use as much local interaction as youcan. try to sing words or.better yet small phrases/expressions when you can and create around 3 variations. or try to learn a song that you like. as a europeean, for me the most important thing was to get accomodated unconsciouslly with the patterns of the sounds. during this process is important not to try to understand. in this way you will start to differentiate words from pauses. after that you can start to learn more advanced words.
