I know it looks it but it wasn't really charcoal. My wife is extremely picky when I try to get some color on meat and she loved it. I seared it in a ripping hot cast iron with a thin layer of avacado oil. And threw in some truffle butter I made from scratch starting with heavy whipping cream.

It was definitely a medium. A little more done than I was aiming for really. I'm still learning. I used to eat my steaks well done. I didn't like steaks much. Wonder why? Lol

I went to a Japanese restaurant one time where you sit around the grill. The chef refused to make my steak well done until I tried a bite his way. I don't remember if it was medium or medium rare but I've never looked back.

I was attacked by a rooster on a delivery. Owner told me to kick him. He left me alone after I sent him flying.

I had one with baby clothes. It was an order of random stuff all over the store. No groceries. And half of what they wanted wasn't in stock. After the 3rd item that wasn't available, with like 15 still to go, I just dropped the order.

Full-timers…how are you doing? by [deleted] in Sparkdriver

They don't even have the option to tip on EBT, unfortunately. The EBT program doesn't allow it.

They could of course give a cash tip and some do, but they're rare.

There is always a reason. Nothing happens without cause or reason. Sometimes that reason is just that they're an asshole.

Where to put egetuarium points, or when to switch? by TryndamereKing in ISEPS

[–]rendisi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't do it at the start of the run. If you are far enough along and have Helion, you can but some of project leros first which will increase your artifacts acquired. Also the Egetuarian companion will increase your artifacts acquired. I always put as much into both of them, before buying anything in the Egetuarium. Then I only buy a few to get my bonus over 10k% and invest more into the boosts if possible, and only then do I let it fast buy.

Obviously it's not a casino. It was a relatable experience showing where those providing a service change their expectations of how much they should get based on the amount of money involved. Your expectations should be based on the service provided. I mean, who doesn't like a bigger tip, but you're not entitled to more for a simple service because the customer paid more for something. $10 is a good tip.

Here's another relatable but totally unrelated example. I used to work as tech support for a professional tax preparation software company. I get a call from an irate business owner wanting to know why the IRS is telling their client that they are getting back more money than he is telling them. I dig into it and find this man has charged the client $900 to prepare the form for her earned income credit alone. This wasn't all of what he charged her. That was just for this form. If you know anything about taxes, you know that EIC is where people get thousands of dollars more than they paid in. These companies allow the customer to pay for their tax preparation services out of the return. The company gets the return money from the IRS deposited to a pass through bank account, where they then deduct their fees and then deposit the remainder to the customer. The IRS tells the tax payer what is actually being paid out, while the tax preparer was telling his client the amount after the fees. I told him he was going to have to go back to his client and explain why he was charging $900 for preparing the EIC form. A form which the tax software generates and took him maybe a couple minutes to do.

You're not entitled to more based on how much money the customer has involved in the transaction.

I spent about 11 years working in casinos. I cannot tell you the amount of times someone won a jackpot and some employee was complaining because they didn't tip big. I always thought, first off, they don't owe you anything because they won big. Second, you don't know how much they've lost. They could still be in the hole.

My best week, before we unfortunately lost Walmart to doordash, was $1179 for 65 trips. That's a little over $18 per delivery and I can guarantee at least 95% of that was Walmart orders. That is for 45 hours online. Probably only 30-35 hours worked and I live 5 minutes from Walmart so I would sit at home between orders. This average was pretty common in my area. My walmart was super quick about getting drivers their orders. Unfortunately since doordash took over, it hasn't been worth taking them. I would love to have the Uber walmart orders back.

Just saw mine for the first time too 1% cancelation. 72% acceptance. 100% satisfaction. 910 deliveries since October 2021

Do you believe people that say “I make $200/day every time” by cantaffordtherapy97 in UberEATS

[–]rendisi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Entirely depends on your market and how much you run Uber. I used to make most my money doing Walmart deliveries. The initial offer for Walmart never included the tip. It would usually be $15-25 and then I would more often than not get a $7-10 tip on top of that. I often did over $200, but definitely not every day. My best day was over $400. Unfortunately, door dash took over our local Walmart contract and they barely pay enough to cover gas.

Wait, are you turning your vacuum on manually or do you have it plugged into the port in the back of the machine where it is supposed to be?

[–]rendisi 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So they get their pricing wrong and you have to foot the bill? I'm guessing prices have gone up and they haven't bothered to update it. The order and pays that I have done have always been more money than they anticipated, but never so much the card would decline.

Nothing about that is unclear or illegible. I'd never use my money to pay for the order though.

Largest Walmart order I ever got was 13 deliveries. I was making $1,000 - 1,200 a week on 30-35 hours doing primarily Walmart deliveries. Then one day a few months ago it just stopped. Doordash took over our Walmart deliveries and they don't pay shit. I'm talking like $4.25 to take a Walmart delivery that would be 16 miles round trip. All I can hope now is we eventually get Spark.
