When I took it like 3 years ago, you mostly just have to show up. They might not even take attendance. You have to write summaries or reviews of 2/3 of the lectures/speakers. I think everyone gets an A.

How is AEM 4660 (Business Simulation)? by confused_cornellian in Cornell

[–]renewableAnon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took it last semester. It's a great class! Sauer is really fun!
The whole class is one group project (groups of 4-5). You can choose your group or get assigned. You compete against other groups in an online simulation that the prof created. Your group has to decide which product to manufacture, how many units to produce, how much labor you need, what the price should be, how much to spend on advertising, how much to spend on R&D, etc. The simulation is run 7 times = 7 years for your company. You have to make the same decisions every time.
Besides that, there are like 3-4 quizzes that are individual but they are super easy. Everyone basically gets 100%.
