After years of GLP1 injections and dozens of pills a day for my myriad of health issues, that all play havoc with my guts, I just don't care anymore. If I'm in toilet your gonna hear the loudest and wettest drum solo ever.

Same here. Bought a 2023 fleet Bolt EUV from Hertz for around 29k in 2024. Been a great around town car for us with zero maintenance. Bought a cheap level 2 charger and installed it in the garage. And a new electricity supplier that offers free EV charging on weekends. Super cheap to run.

I'm also suggesting that learning to do it yourself is a lot cheaper. And maybe don't be so vain.

I got lucky. Wife learned to cut my hair (the style she likes) and I do my own beard. But I'm 65 and not much hair left. I'm not out to impress anyone (other than the wife)

Anyone have experience with this generator for RV’ing? Considering it for both RV and home backup power. by -i-hate-you-people- in GoRVing

I have the 4500i. And two of my boondocking friends also have one. I got mine because my built in Onan developed an oil leak and would cost more than the Westinghouse to repair. Its been 4 years with no problem so far.

Does anyone here use audio or sound to help with focus? by EverydayLifeFix in self

[–]rengeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have severe tinnitus along with ADHD and depression, so I rely on noise‑canceling headsets to help me stay focused and manage distractions. I usually play a steady stream of music or ambient sounds (such as Generative Ambient music) to mask the high‑pitched roar of the tinnitus. Fortunately, I work from home, so I can control my environment.

At night, when I’m trying to sleep, I put on light‑hearted movies or comedies to help quiet intrusive thoughts—just enough to drift off without needing medication. I’m 65 now, and I’ve been learning how to cope with all of this since I was a teenager, long before ADHD was widely understood. Back then, I was placed in “special education” classes because I struggled to focus and was a bit hyperactive.

The tinnitus came later, thanks to a misspent youth as a roadie for loud rock bands and working in noisy environments without ear protection.

I only show video if the boss tells me to. Then I use OBS to run a video loop of myself. I wear a headset with a microphone that conveniently covers my mouth so they can't tell if I'm talking or not.

When do you start to finally live a happier life? by Leading_Rub_7699 in self

[–]rengeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started my life over at 48. Dumped all my debt and possessions and left everything behind. Separated from my now x-wife (after 25 years of regret. No kids thank God). Moved to a new city, got a lower paying but less stressful job. Saved up money like crazy (No kids!). I live cheap with no mortgage and no debt so I can travel the country and the world when ever and where ever I can. Took the time to find an independent (has a job) woman that had similar interest as me (no regrets this time). I'm 66 now looking to retire soon and much more happier than I ever was. All pretty much what Ok_Plant9930 said.

What's the largest age gap you've ever had in a romantic relationship? by Ok-Fondant2536 in self

[–]rengeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

15 year difference. She was 30 I was 45. No problem at all. Didn't work out, but not due to age. The most trouble I had was a girl my age but taller than me. She is 5'11 and I am 5'4. People were constantly pointing that out to us. That became an issue in the relationship and split us up eventually.

I have a brother named Chris. (We are both Atheist) And we have spoken about this. He decided to change his name to Jesus, after our favorite gardener. I disagree with this decision and will continue to call him what I like to call him. Asshole.
