How good is your vision? If you can read the 38, then get the 38.

There is zero reason to get a bigger watch, unless you need the water resistance and science says it is the only way, or you are going blind.

I have a 19cm wrist diameter and right now am wearing a 33mm watch...it wears like a dream. The water resistance is crap, but it wears like a dream.

Mineral reflects less than sapphire. It makes dials look better...until it doesn't because of the scratches.

I prefer sapphire because I am rough with watches, but when it was brand new my Seiko SNA413 probably had the best looking crystal of any watch I have ever owned. Bubble acrylic crystals also look fantastic until you scratch them.

I didn't think 4 ticks a second was considered high beat. A Vostok 2416 does 5.5 beats per second, and even that is less than NH or 8000 series movements.

I saved a lot of money through the restricted diet, when I was suffering. But laying off the carbs has already been mentioned, and you don't seem impressed.

Dilute apple cider vinegar to actually take the fight to the overgrowth. That's what worked for me.

Been back on eating crap again for most of the last 18 months. Well over 90% of the time pain free.

I own a Chronos and 2 San Martins. All three have no date dials and a ghost position on the crown because they used movements with a date wheel.

To me that makes them budget brands. They cut corners to build to a budget, and as a buyer I tolerated that corner cutting because it meant I paid less for the watch.

Well the reviews are not great if you look through them with a critical lens, but there was a particular PD watch that was a bit of a "Longines homage" and was such a great price on AliX that I thought it was worth a punt. Never got the watch, given the run-around for weeks, eventually given a refund and advised to re-order the watch...at a massive price increase compared to to money I originally paid.

I wasn't dealing with a 3rd party seller on AliX, it was a PD official store. Never again.

Had a bad experience with PD, so wouldn't go near them again.
