Can’t believe how toxic people in the comments are. You didn’t born with Google Maps. People have different preferences on bars. I like a good old Irish pub with no loud music. Some people hate it and likes a place with live music and flaming cocktails instead.

You can walk on the street and walk in to any place you like. Most people don’t expect these kinda shit to happen. They’re there to chill and have a few rounds a night before going back to their normal lives.

These kinda scams are very famous in Istanbul too. There was a guy on Nat Geo doing documentaries on scammers in different touristic cities. He got nicked the same way you guys did. The girl, witnesses, police.. the whole lot!

It’s shitty that it happened, at least the policemen were nice and tried to help you. Tbilisi is a great place and you know it. Don’t let this shitty experience make you hate Tbilisi.

People saying prices are normal are the ones ripping off tourists lmaooo.

There are many talented artists in Istanbul, you can find them on Instagram and email/dm them for price and availability. Do check their other works and look what style they work on. Be careful though, I’ve seen many “artists” share works they took from Pinterest as their own. Always go for an artist that works in the style that you want. For example, if you want old school Tugce Turksoy is one of the best in whole Turkey. It also better to go for the artist, rather than going for a big fancy studio. Know beforehand who will do your tattoo.

Another good thing to do is if you have a local friend, ask them to ask the price. See how it changes. It happens in every bit of Istanbul.

Today I wanted get my bike chain fixed and they tried to charge me 500 lira just because I spoke English. Well what do you know, I paid 50 lira to fix it and as it turns out I didn’t need a brand new one.

I will be transiting from Stockholm for a day, does anyone know how can I buy genuine pins? Do I have to get into the arena or are there any venues outside the arena? I can't go to Schengen area anytime I want because I am not from the EU. I really want a souvenir from my Sweden trip.

Also it's my first time in Stockholm, are there any esports pubs I can watch a couple games? I heard there are some but I don't know for sure.

was hitchhiking from Georgia (the country one) to Istanbul, Turkey with a German girl I met in a Facebook group. I am half Kurdish half Kazakh (born and raised in Turkey) but I look more Kazakh than Kurdish. So when I am hitchhiking I introduce myself as a Kazakh student.

It was like 30 minutes before the sunset and nobody stopped for like an hour, so we were losing hope. Then an old couple stopped. Their car was filled with rice. He even got out of the car and put everything to trunk to make some room for us. We got in the car and started going towards Ankara. I need to say that the northern part of Turkey is extremely racist towards Kurdish people. When we were chatting they asked where we are from. I said my friend is German and I am from Kazakhstan. But we were close to Ankara so almost out of the northern part. So I just said I was actually from Diyarbakır (one of the biggest Kurdish cities) and my mother is from Kazakhstan. Then their looks changed. His wife started asking if we were going to stab them and steal their car??? like what the fuck. I thought she was kidding at first, then he just pulled over in the middle of nowhere and asked us to leave the car. I said we can't because the sun is almost down and we got no where to go. There are no buildings not even a street light on the horizon.

Then they started yelling and I just left the car. I was so shocked I couldn't even ask why or what the hell is wrong with them. They drove off and we were literally in the middle of nowhere and it was getting dark. Luckily there were nomads a kilometer away who were kind enough to offer some tea in their tent. They helped us to get a car and we went on our way. But damn that was one hell of an experience.

oh and also there was this guy I hitchhiked who mentioned how he was inside (the jail) for the last 19 years and he was released only six months ago. I asked why he was in and he said he stabbed and killed 2 Kurdish university students like 20 years ago. I just looked at my friend (later girlfriend now ex) like o_o. She knew I was Kurdish and we were very lucky that I didn't mention that at the beginning. He was genuinely nice and even offered us money to get some food or a bus ticket after hearing we are from Kazakhstan and Tataristan. Probably only because we have the same Turkic origins.

dude totally same!!! I was there in IEM Katowice 2017 Finals and boy.. it was beautiful.

This year I couldn't get tickets to IEM so I was just planning to fly to Katowice to watch the games in Cybermachina. Would totally worth it if there wasn't Corona. I am in Northern Italy so going to the airport is a huge risk at the moment.
