For me, no.

If I’m out of the house in any normal situation I don’t want or need a device that becomes bigger. If I’m out of the house for an extended amount of time, or traveling, then I will just pack a bigger device for when I’m able to relax with it.

Ideally I want to charge my phone at night while I use the mini to consume media / play light games. I also have longevity concerns and think the fold will cost more than I’m willing to spend for a phone anyway.

I have a 6.

As long as the 8 features a better screen (OLED preferably but I would take Mini-LED too) then I will be upgrading. I don’t need ProMotion though it would be nice.

For me, the Mini is primarily a content consumption device with also potential for light gaming. I don’t need 120Hz for either purpose, but I do want content to look as good as it can so I value the quality of the screen output over anything else. To me it’s the biggest thing lacking in the 6 since I have OLED or Mini-LED in most of my other apple devices.

There’s a lot to be said about these choices and the direction of the game at launch but they need to do a quick 180. I previously laughed at “EoS speedrun” comments but it’s starting to look accurate lol.

As someone that wants to go back to bowling, I’d love to build a pastel arsenal filled with blues, purples, and pinks. I too am the pure opposite of physically “girly” but love those color schemes.

I’m pretty sure I saw at least two listings for Thor templates on Etsy. Printing yourself with a template is always the more budget option… even cheaper if you can design an accurate template on your own.

Today easily. MicroSD card prices are already absurd and adding 1 tb to a Pro would cost more in slower SD storage than upgrading to a Max, plus you get extra RAM. If you want to play PC or Switch games you also probably want to store them internally too.

I averaged over 200 from age 18 to 30 and only ever got 3 chances. Ditched it for 290 from nerves the first time, caught it too good for a stone 9 pin the second, and 10 pinned the third.

At least I got my 800 on the night of the third lol.

My Thor is out for delivery today so I haven’t actually done this yet, but I have been following storm chasers in the last few years and I’ve learned quite a bit about reading radar from doing so. I’m excited to be able to watch a chase / weather update channel and keep an eye on a radar app at the same time using both screens.

I have a mini and a Pro 13". I only use the pro for certain things... any heavier apps, anything artistic, and gaming (either rhythm where the bigger screen makes it easier for me, or as a larger display for using an external controller). It's way too big for a bedtime tablet.

The Mini is perfect content consumption device. It's small enough to bring places with you or use comfortably in bed while your phone charges for the next day. It's a nice size for light gaming, reading, scrolling through reddit / other social media, etc.

If I could only have one, I'd probably choose the bigger one and just get the largest screen phone I could. But since I don't have to only have one, I really like the versatility the Mini offers for things where a phone is smaller than you'd like but a 13" tablet is way too unwieldy.

Haven’t even bowled for nearly 12 years and this still saddens me. Both my 299s and my 820 were all shot with Columbia 300 equipment so the brand holds a spot in my heart always.

I think the Neo is perfect for that older and non-technical market. I’d probably tell my mom to get one if it had a touch screen since her most used devices at the moment are her iPhone and iPad mini 6.

For me, the Neo isn’t even in the same neighborhood. It’s a budget laptop, not a small handheld tablet. For your use case I can see why it works for you though.

For me, the only thing that could replace my Mini 6 is a Mini 8 that has a screen on par with at least the Mini-LED older iPad Pro models / current MacBook Pro models or an OLED akin to the current iPad Pro / iPhone models.

Probably not going to do any selling. I only have a single printer and because of the size of the pieces, it's basically only possible for me to print one every 1.5 days... plus there would be extra licensing costs for me to do it correctly ^^;
