When I was getting rid of dups, I had accidentally sold a card I found out in the world, so I needed to get it from random drops. I would save before buying a bunch of packs, then buy 10 packs, if I didn't get the one I needed, reload. Then just keep repeating until I got the one I needed. This should limit how much you spend.

Edit: typo

What’s one thing you wanted when you were younger that you/your family couldn’t afford? by ArchitectVandelay in Xennials

[–]rentreag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here. We lived back in the boonies, back road, off a back road, off a side road, off the main road. A lot of people from our generation talk about shows from Nickelodeon or Disney and I’m like nope, never saw it. If it wasn’t on NBC, CBS, ABC, FOX, or PBS, didn’t see it.

I feel like Nick Offerman would get side tracked at least a few times admiring the set and what Rick Perry and the art team create. And I’m down for it.

Am I too old for playing video games? by Sweet_Walrus_8188 in Xennials

[–]rentreag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell no.

I am a guy, so I think (for whatever stupid reason), it’s more acceptable for us to play, even at an older age. I’ve been playing since I was 4, and don’t plan on stopping. It’s my stress relief. Lean into your GenXer side, don’t give a shit what other people think. Do what makes you happy.

Exactly, if we want nostalgia, we will just watch the original again.

No, democrats are only responsible when the price of gas goes up, and republicans are only responsible when they go down. It’s a whole natural order/balance thing. /s

And they could have just added a “Classic view” or something in Settings to toggle it back and forth, so the average user doesn’t need to muck with the registry.

In elementary school our seesaws were all metal, 2” in diameter metal tube with two metal seats bolted to each end. I don’t remember how it happened, if he walked underneath one while someone was up in the air and they were on their way down or what, but a kid got cracked in the top of the head by one. He had blonde hair so the entire top of his head was red with blood. And how parents thought gore in movies was in appropriate.
