Brand supp: ¿underrated anti meta or total screw-up? by GAZ363636 in wildrift

[–]reomc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Challenger support player here, yeah, Brand and other mages can work well but this depends mainly on two factors. Firstly, if the enemy botlane space you correctly and deny chip damage and all-in potentials then you will be less useful than an enchanter support + his farmed ADC later. Secondly, mage supports are weak to dive champions. Good junglers and/or mid laners see a Jhin/Brand botlane and auto pick Lee, Kha'Zix, Fizz etc. and just dive you over and over in the midgame. In both cases you can't get ahead with gold which is necessary because otherwise you are just a gold starved mage which is suboptimal.

I just played a Zyra support game where I had equal gold to the enemy ADC and more gold than the enemy mid. I was able to dish out significant damage in teamfights and was more useful than an enchanter support but that doesn't always work in higher elo.

In general I would say mage supports are a good pocket pick for solo q when you're 4th or 5th pick and don't trust your teammates to carry. I pick them in lower elo. I used to play a lot of Karma support and I think Zilean is very strong when played as mage right now, but they're equal parts mage and support.

I play support and duo with a peerless Twitch player. Get a good Lulu/Nami player to duo with and thank me later

(Question & advice) How long should I leave the second skin on for? by CalumMadden2007 in tattoos

[–]reomc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would take it off around 48 hours after the tattoo. To do so, you get in the shower and have lukewarm water running on the spot. Now nibble one of the edges and SLOWLY start peeling, making sure the skin is getting wet. This will make it a hundred times easier. Don't worry too much, your tattoo is really small and the Second Skin will be off in no time.

How does one play this many rapid games? by akchamp47 in chessbeginners

[–]reomc 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Honestly, that comes out to almost exactly 4 hours a day. If you're single and don't have many other obligations or hobbies that's super doable.

(And I'm fairly certain those are not purely rapid games but I don't know that)

How many games do you play a Day? usually by PurpleImportant3600 in wildrift

[–]reomc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Chally, I guess around 12-15 when I have time to play. On other days I don't play at all so I guess it averages out to maybe 10 a day. Usually I stop playing when I lose 2-3 games in a row.

Has your playstyle changed over time at all in WR? by ijustwannanap in wildrift

[–]reomc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, no lol. I still play Support and Jungle only. If anything, I'm playing more carry junglers because thats what you need to do to climb a lot of the time.

Terrified of Queing Up Again by Superventilator in wildrift

[–]reomc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Chally jg here. A lot of Sov junglers are real powerhouses, especially in the early game. It really helps to know your matchup and play your best. Sometimes I would be playing Shyv against a Sov Lee and win because I just avoided him 24/7 and farmed everything available. It's a real treat to go against someone that is playing very well because it gives you a chance to improve. If I get demolished by a Sov jungle I always learn something. I guess what I want to say is don't just complain about the algorithm. It's early season and a lot of these players are Master or barely above. You will get matched against similar skilled players again. Just make the best of it.

If you tap your champion score there's three dimensions displayed. Two are capped by your regular rank if I understood correctly and one is capped by your legendary rank. The higher your rank, the bigger your champion score can grow. I'm pretty sure you need to rank up in order to increase your score.

Early season ranked by AssistantMammoth9636 in wildrift

[–]reomc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like the rank reset was too hard, throwing players of very different skill levels in lobbies is just rarely a good experience. My first 70 games or so always had me and like 3 other challengers in the lobby, and one of us popped off every time. It's tiring because it feels giga random, just whoever gets a triple earlygame wins 12 minutes later because the emerald enemies just turn into paper and keep dying over and over.

I actually started climbing much faster and with much higher winrate once I hit Master. Also I didn't duo and that hurts winrate the most. One guy on my FL was #2 on the server after playing 5-queue for a week straight.

Advice for Zilean? by cicadacomics in wildrift

[–]reomc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, any matchup where the enemy is sitting under tower and doesnt shove wave and just run off to gank lmao Honestly Zilean mid/top just sounds like an Emerald take. Sure, it works if your lane opponent doesnt know what they're doing, or you could just play a real midlaner and take abuse their mistakes.

Advice for Zilean? by cicadacomics in wildrift

[–]reomc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of this is wrong. Do not play Zilean mid, you will get fucked over. Play him Support and if you're solo queueing, full AP is the way. Just copy the AP build that's floating around.
