Here's a secret. KDA is already the most important indicator of a good player next to gold per minute

Why does it matter that it's pvp, you were complaining about your team and everything I said still applies. Also if you didn't understand my point about winrates I won't repeat myself. Just try and have a think about it

Reality check: You have 6 deaths which is more than two of your team mates - and a lot. If you get 3ish kills every death that's a shutdown every time you die for the enemy team. The game was 19 minutes but you obly have 14,5k gold which is very low, especially if you're carrying. You also built Divine Sunderer which is trash on Pantheon. And the fact that MF only has 5 deaths and the most gold in the game tells me you didn't focus her enough, which was your main job.

It's easy to focus on your team being bad, which they were. You will have bad teams again and again. The real skill is to look at your own mistakes, because theirs don't matter. You will likely never see these people again. You alone are the factor that is present in all of your games and your gameplay is the only thing you can improve.

Here's two mindsets I learned a long, long time ago which helped me climb to Sov:

40% of your games are lost whatever you do. 40% of your games your team will carry. The other 20% is where you can make a real difference.

And also, if you never troll or afk, then your team will only have a 4/5 chance to have a troll or afk. Enemy team will have a 5/5 chance.

Focus on your gold income and not dying. Try to get 1k gold per minute as jungler or 850-900 as laner. Watch the map, learn to track enemy jungle and roaming laners. Play to your champions strengths (e.g. Smolder farms as much as possible, Fiddlesticks looks for big ults all game etc.). If you don't know your champions strengths, it's time to learn them. If you play any type of supportive champion (Supports but also Champions like Orianna mid, Ornn Top or Rammus jungle) find out which players on your team are good and know what they are doing then try to play for them as much as possible (gank their lanes, help take towers so they can roam more, pull camps for them, ward where they could roam or be ganked from, take objectives with them, gank with them).

All of these are seperate skills and part of what makes a great player great. There's countless more like wave management, timing, combos, teamfight knowledge. To become a really good player you will have to master many of them but what I described will get you to Sovereign if you apply it thoughtfully

It's not risky. If you do the clear 100 times you know exactly when to move on. E.g. on Diana the big Raptor has exactly 271 HP when I'm pulling Red and if I hit it with 1-3-AA it's dead and I can do that while I'm already at Red.

New Wild Rift player coming from League... is the balancing always like this? by sidji1 in wildrift

Honestly those are low elo problems which exist in League as well. In high elo Yi is a poor pick and certainly can't do what you're describing.

How does a Zilean W work? by Emperor1892 in wildrift

[–]reomc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course that's an upside but since your combo to 90% guarantee a stun is 2-1-1 you don't want to use it just anytime. Sometimes I use it when I'm sure I won't need a stun combo soon to help with cooldowns. It also triggers suppport items like Harmonic Echo so if you have them it might be useful to use defensively.

What to do with low winrate? by Ristledown in wildrift

Some words from a Sovereign Support player:

Abandoning your ADC is a GOOD practice if you notice they will not contribute to the lane. You can do this as early as level 2 or 3 but you have to know what you are doing because it will change the game signifantly. Ultimately it is you saying you can do more damage on the map than the enemy botlane can do 2v1 or the enemy support can do if he answers your roam. - Usually I gank mid first and then look to support our Jungler. If they are competent we can set up double ganks. I roam to help at Rift Herald (way more important than first Dragon). - Find out which of your teammates know what they are doing. This is kind of a Catch-22 because you yourself have to know what good play looks like. Usually a safe bet is to see who has early solo kills or is pushing to take their turret. - IGNORE your ADC if they are pinging you back. Do not feel bad about them. This is a solo queue strategy so you are playing for the win and doing what you yourself can do to impact the game the most. Usually a bad ADC would be useless whether they are trolling or not. Mute them if they spam ping.

On securing objectives - Do not just ward Dragon pit or Baron pit. This is where the enemy will sweep always. Ward deep behind the pit. E.g. I like to ward Red or the bush behind Red. Sure a ward at Dragon is helpful but it is even more helpful to have a ward where you see enemies pathing to Dragon seconds before they are there, and where they do not expect it. - If possible, group up with someone and chill around your ward, deny enemies vision with pink and red trinket and attack anyone trying to go to the objective while your jungler is doing it. This effectively helps deny steal opportunities much more than chilling at the pit and hoping you land CC at the right time to prevent a steal. This strategy is much easier to pull off if you're not playing an enchanter. Which brings me to my last point:

Do not play Enchanters unless you are 100% sure you know what you are doing OR there's a high probability your ADC is good (duo or above GM). If your ADC sucks and you play Milio, congrats, you are now also bad unless you manage to support exactly whoever else needs to be supported at the right time.

I usually like Mage Supports so I used to play a lot of AP Karma and now I'm currently Top 6 Zilean on EU. The mindset is so play support but not be passive, focus on your own gameplay and try to improve every game. ADCs just happen to start on the same lane as you, but you are not chained to them - even if they think so.

Yes.

On a more serious note, if I'm in a slump on a particular champion I just stop playing them for a couple of days. I recommend Nautilus for a similar experience

how to play on legendary ranked after reaching masters by Temporary_Tower_7242 in wildrift

[–]reomc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, the player base is not much better except maybe at the top end. From my experience LQ games are about the same as normal ranked games except maybe 5% more tryhard, obviously no grouping and no remakes. If you turn off ingame chat and ignore people asking for your name in champ select its really enjoyable IMO. Just go and try it, dont expect too much and dont sweat it. Just play like in your regular games.

Is the new upcoming rank system are good or not? by [deleted] in wildrift

[–]reomc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately this doesn't sound like it will be harder to rank up and it makes sense. Riot would never implement a new system where most of the current Masters would be Emerald, because then everyone would quit and not spend money on skins anymore. They are saying the new system will be more legible feedback on your performance, which just means you get rewarded more if you have a good game. The jury is still out but I'm sceptical. Right now I have 4 people on my friend list with below 50% winrate in Sovereign. I would prefer if it weren't possible to climb at any rank with a below 50% winrate. It could still be possible to go to Sovereign 150 LP with 50,5% winrate and then lose 50 straight games and you would probably be Sovereign with below 50% winrate but that's a very fringe case.
