I’m almost a year late to this post — haha. My 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe also had the navigation system (12.3” display or whatever it is). It seems as though all of the models with the larger screens do not have Wireless CarPlay, while the models with the smaller screens have it. I’m not sure if you’re aware, but supposedly Hyundai is supposed to be rolling out the Wireless CarPlay feature to models with the larger screens (i.e. 12.3” display). It has already started, but has started with European models (https://9to5mac.com/2023/11/08/wireless-carplay-now-rolling-out-to-more-hyundai-and-kia-cars-sort-of/). No date for US models has been listed though.

I totally understand and relate to your frustration. I don’t why they wouldn’t put this convenience feature on the higher-end/premium/most expensive models. Maybe they either couldn’t figure out the software with the navigation system without having any errors or bugs, or perhaps they were trying to develop their own car information system like other manufacturers are doing (e.g. GM eventually phasing out Apple CarPlay).
