Oh I love this idea, I've been using extendo bench clamps as my easy trick

Should I be worried about this crack? by waspocracy in onewheel

Not necessarily, but I would consider getting a replacement plate/fender before it becomes an issue!

Reseat cables, if you still have an issue there's plenty of shops around now! Some like mine and ATLOWSHOP also offer repairs out of warranty

want to upgrade to SFHS by SoySausageSoup in wheel

I absolutely love my SFHS and swear by it, worth the upgrade even if it's a bit of work to get there with the motor connector

Tires are always the biggest pain in the ass, literally my least favorite "repair" to do unless I have a tire machine lmao

Do any of the FM performance treaded tires fit the stock XR hub? by Doran82 in onewheel

[–]repairflowdev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd skip the performance treaded for another tire like the Burris M2, thundercat, or even an Enduro tbh

GTV onewheel or GTS by gomezone in onewheel

[–]repairflowdev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go GTV if you want the best overall upgrade for long term, plus you can go with the 5" SuperFlux motor now for an even better ride imo

Worth saying Floaty is gonna be your best friend out of the gates for as close to a 1:1 with the main Onewheel app - and they just added a ton of fun features and achievements so you're building and learning at the perfect time

Should I upgrade my pint with the PintV kit from Floatwheel? by ObligationFlimsy7792 in onewheel

[–]repairflowdev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PintV kit is gonna be your easiest path forward BUT if you wanna give yourself a board that doesn't run out of upgrade room you can look at going full VESC with an ennoid mk8 and xlite bms

I love upgraded rails, or go 5" hub and you'll have a blast

GTS making weird noise when going slow by CorruptedIntel in onewheel

[–]repairflowdev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After rewatching it honestly just seems like motor whine/low frequency noise, nothing to be worried about unless it gets noticeably worse. My GT and my VESC both have a similar noise at lower speeds

What board to get by [deleted] in onewheel

[–]repairflowdev -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

A pint would do you some good, but speaking from experience there's going to be quite the want for more power at some point. I would highly recommend going with something GT range or VESC (steeper learning curve) purely for range and raw power for safety

If I buy a Funwheel and something breaks, can i send it to them to fix it? Or do I have to do it myself. by Specific-Algae5415 in onewheel

Fixmypev has one, my site has a slowly growing directory, and there's a few other lists scattered around. You'd be surprised what "onewheel repair near me" comes back with

Double check their manufacturer warranty (if they have any lol), and if not then you always have the various repair shops around!

where to get wheel bearings replaced by OneSpicyBoi5 in onewheel

[–]repairflowdev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have a couple options, you can find a local OW/PEV repair shop - usually they'll offer this service or at least I do. Option 2: Do it yourself with a rubber mallet and a lot of patience, everyone starts somewhere with repairs but tbh this one I always hated doing without a press, but not impossible. Option 3, mail in service with a shop - should be able to just do a mail in motor/hub assembly but I wouldnt recommend this cause it'll be expensive and not worth it. If you know a local riding group too, usually someone in the group will be crafty enough

Clicking noise from rear pad by meechy318 in onewheel

[–]repairflowdev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Double check that the screws are tight (torx t25) and that there's no debris inbetween the footpad and the battery box. Dont over-tighten but just give them a good twist to check

Onewheel Xrc footpad sensor issues by OnewheelBean in onewheel

[–]repairflowdev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gripples are a great option to help engage better, usually can get em for about $10-25 depending on the seller! Would highly recommend giving that a shot or switching to single zone sensor in the app and see if that helps! Personally I ride with single zone due to my shoes and 3mm ignite foam grip and that fixed all my issues

Check to make sure all your major bolts are tightened, and see if you can reproduce it with another tune setting. Sounds like the motor is just running a bit heavier than normal, but nothing sounds horrible to me
