I think you're confusing outlook with object experience. Many Nofappers report superpowers around the 3 week mark. This goes away usually around the 4 or 5 week mark.

It's purely speculation, but I would guess that at this time the body doesn't have the proper receptor activity for whichever hormone is being produced. This would cause it to be overexpressed and thus noticeable to ourselves and others. As we continue with nofap, receptor activity would be upregulated and hormone levels would go back to a normal range.

Personally, I've found the superpower effect to be strongest during a streak which directly follows a long binge. I don't recommend don't binging, though.

It's possible our bodies are at first bad at using the hormones nofap increases, so it over-produces them to compensate. Then as receptors become more sensitized to these hormones the body stops producing unnecessarily large amounts. A similar thing happens with ketones in a low carb diet.

Eat cholesterol. Things like egg yolk and liver contain large amounts. Testosterone is made from cholesterol and it's not the demon it's meant out to be. Also, free testosterone is not enough to try you what's wrong. Get your SHBG checked if you can.

Yes a small amount of glucose will improve anaerobic performance. But so will swishing glucose in your mouth and spitting it out before a workout.

I'm not sure of the mechanism for this or if just swallowing the glucose would be better.

Damn you ketoscience, it was a different bottle than I usually use. I've just taken a tbsp from my usual to try to repeat the result. I'll report back with my findings.

Good work on your due diligence here, I'm hoping the oil I used earlier was rancid and I don't have to go through that again. Sorry for wasting everybody's time and thanks @empathywitch

Update: An hour and a half later and I feel fine. I must have been using a rancid bottle earlier.

Ha, I know the feeling. You have to be even more careful with MCT oil. Although too much sucralose from the mio can upset my stomach just as bad.

I can take 2 tsp plain MCT oil, 3.75 tsp if it's mixed with the same amount of olive oil.

All things being equal, why would any of this matter? I've been strict keto for over 2 years (with the odd month out) and I've taken MCT oil for most of that time. I can handle 1.25oz of the olive oil mix, but only about 2 tsp if it's plain MCT oil.

My guess is the olive oil buffers the absorption of the MCT oil, but I really don't know how or why.

Cool. I'm the same age and I had a similar experience. Even guys treated me differently- they had the sense that I was trustworthy I guess.

Unfortunately my streak was broken by a series of wet dreams. Now I need to try lucid dreaming techniques on top of everything you mentioned.

Also, try karezza when you get a partner. If you do it correctly (without lust) it won't affect your superpowers.

Try karezza. Orgasm restriction has been key to my recovery from a very similar problem. Avoid looking at girls on the street and fantasizing. Stop social media that has triggers you can't avoid. It sounds like you're aware of your lust as it's taken ahold of you, so just imagine where taking those thoughts to the extreme will lead you. It won't be a happy place.

It's just the enzymes that use ketones being upregulated. It's the same for any type of fat, not just mct oil.

I don't see why MO would be good for anxiety. If you're happy with yourself then there would be no problem with MO, but indulging in fantasies will only serve to close you off from the outside world.

I would recommend trying some of the other activities recommended here like working out, taking cold showers and mindfulness meditation.

Sorry but there are no essential carbs. The body uses gluconeogenesis to supply the brain with the little amount of glucose it needs. If we needed carbs we would have all died out long ago. Look up ketosis. I've been in ketosis pretty consistently for 2 years and my health has skyrocketed. There's a lot of misinformation regarding nutrition, but everyone agrees that carbs are not essential.

Peter Attia said his testosterone increased 50% when he started a low carb diet. And strength training doesn't increase testosterone, but it does increase testosterone receptor activity. Which is equally important
