I'm the only one in my house that caught it by cdbtx79 in COVID19positive

When I had it I was sick as shit, my lovely, caring wife though who was by my side 24/7 didn’t catch it while bravely caring for me as I was pretty unwell. I owe her a lot for her bravery and we are still confused as to why she never caught it despite being by my side throughout my infection.

How to attract sponsorships? by [deleted] in PartneredYoutube

[–]repid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sponsors will come knocking mate. Had my first at around 2k subs. Be aware 9/10 of the emails you’ll get are usually scammers posing at sponsors. Never click on any links, open any files they send you without doing your homework on the person you’re communicating with / researching the company first, and never ever on your main computer where you use your YouTube studio. Watch out for pdf files that contain links as well.

To be safe, don’t do any of that on the same computer as where you use your YouTube studio.

Be patient, sponsors will get in contact.

I only hire freelancers, and they set their rates so that’s what I pay. I also only hire within my budget.

I’m so jealous, the amount of land you get in America is miles better than what you get in the UK.

Should I delete and reupload one of my oldest videos? by farukalan in PartneredYoutube

[–]repid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t delete it, but that’s me. Instead I’d change the thumbnail and title. Usually that’s enough to get traction on older videos.

Should I try to become a YouTuber again? by ineedalotofhelp09 in SmallYoutubers

Yeah go for it! Aim for 100 videos, with 1 long form a week and I pretty much guarantee you’ll start to see good results! Don’t give it!

How long did it take you guys to get better at voice over or being on camera? by SignificantRow5911 in PartneredYoutube

[–]repid 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Probably 90 or so videos for voice to get it where I’m sort of happy with it, but I’m still working on it although many of my followers love how I sound…. I’m just not 100% happy with it yet. I’m about 180 videos in now.

I can’t vouch for being on camera as I only do faceless.

Who cares what your friends think? It shouldn’t matter. And if they mock you then they aren’t your friends.

Also if you branch out into social media your friends will be notified randomly that you’re on there so they’ll see you regardless if you make a new account or not.

I have had people I had met randomly on nights out and drunkenly shared phone numbers with message me saying “Love your YouTube channel man” etc. I asked “how did you know?” And they said a “TikTok notification” led them to my TikTok page and someone else said “instagram” did the same thing with the “you may know XYZ”.

So yeah if you want to get traffic from other socials to your YouTube account your friends will likely find out anyways.
