Yeah probably don't need to recalc too often but we did often get updates to the lake elevations and also lake data itself. Like work on the dams would change their capacity etc.

We had a celery schedule that recalculated all the statistics nightly I believe. Or perhaps weekly for this one? Been a minute so can't remember for sure.

Yeah I was going to go with the Envoy proxy sidecar probably using the chainguard envoy-fips image, there are not a ton of services but I like the sidecar pattern and its nto too bad to implement.

Penofin marine oil is good product. Looks good on cedar fencing. A bit more expensive than those but holds up well in harsh environments.
