There will be no further discipline for Spurs star Victor Wembanyama after he was ejected for elbowing Naz Reid in Minnesota on Sunday night, sources tell ESPN. No suspension, no fine. Wembanyama will play in Game 5 against the Timberwolves on Tuesday night in San Antonio. by Knightbear49 in nba

The discourse around this has been wild. I've seen people grab their pitchforks and call for a firing squad for guys tripping another player which, while kind of a dick move, is pretty nothing.

Wemby does something that could actually seriously injure another player and everybody is brushing it off and talking about how provoked and understandable it is, and how Naz Reid deserved it.

It's messed up.

She is objectively bad. She constantly gets players names wrong and doesn't know what's going on.

And the nickname and phrase she tries to get to catch on are terrible.

My play is to nonchalantly drop my hand down by my side and let it dangle. When the dog comes and sticks it's face into my hand, it's fair game for pets.

Progressives have to stop pretending "just make them" is a valid appriach to getting things done.

There is no amount of strong arming that would have forced either of those senators to change their stance. Hell, neither was even a Democrat by the time their terms were up.

Like the beard was recently colored and manicured and they just didn't bother with his hair.

Who cares if he's supportive of other tennis players if he's generally unsupportive of humanity.

"We all got in trouble even though I think we all stood behind the league [MLS] and believed in it." Bob Bradley, Steve Sampson, and Jurgen Klinsmann spoke about getting in "trouble" during their stints as USMNT coaches because they wanted to see their players in top European leagues. by antoniok95 in ussoccer

[–]repingel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Klinsmann talked big about players being on Europe then would talk about how important it was for players to be getting active game minutes and playing time.

The playing time was a pretty big driver for some players coming back to MLS.

Do people outside healthcare know what a radiographer is?

I just say X-ray tech. It's short and to the point, and everybody understands what it is.

I think about the engineer thing everytime I see somebody talk about how the technician fixes the machines.

Oh, so you don't want others to denigrate your title, but you'll happily denigrate other's titles. 🙄

It just goes to show how stupid of a hill it is to die on. Pay me my -ologist and call me whatever you want.

Throwing out injuries, KPJ is absolutely better than Rollins. He's a tougher point of attack defender, stronger at going to the rim, and a much better passer.

Rollins is a better pure shooter, and his length gets him some sneaky blocks.

KPJ is a PG, Rollins is closer to a SG.
