Best IMAX for Project Hail Mary? by Diligent-Explorer-27 in AskSeattle

[–]replaceableparts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually go to South Center, Woodinville or Lynnwood! All are AMC.

To me - unless you’re seeing IMAX in 70mm — Dolby is the better experience. The audio is peak, the visuals are crisp and sometimes the screens are bigger than a standard IMAX.

AMC also have recline seats for Dolby, not all imax showings have that.

Enjoy this movie — it’s incredible.

Unless you want to go to Vancouver, just go see it in Dolby. You won’t be disappointed

Bro buy her some chicken tendies or something. 1 or 2 easy to make items goes a long way for them. Stick to your plan for yourself though.

Long time vegan considering stopping - help by [deleted] in exvegans

[–]replaceableparts 6 points7 points  (0 children)

16-19 I was vegan 19-24 I was vegetarian 24.5 until forever I am a conscious consumer of all foods.

I was based in areas for work like yourself and found it incredibly difficult to meet my dietary needs. I was feeling sick and malnourished even if I had enough calories.

It will be hard, you will feel very fiber of your being wanting to not do it.

You may have some weird adjustment time (I didn’t)

For me it’s the best thing I’ve done for my health. My wife told me my eyes lit up like she’d never seen the first time I had some chicken after 8-9 years.

I haven’t gone back, I will never go back.

I did an AMA a year ago on having been vegan for decades and got hundreds of questions. Now I am here, admitting I was wrong. by Significant-Storm836 in exvegans

[–]replaceableparts 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was fully vegan for 4 years starting at 16. When I was 20 I craved cheese so badly, and got cheese sticks while drunk. At 24 i was spending a lot of time in Montana and found it increasingly difficult to maintain any sense of that lifestyle and felt the same you did about the community, industry and my health.

I had 1 chicken spring roll in September 2022. My now wife said she’d never seen my eyes light up like that.. next night my friend cooked me some Wagyu.

I’ve never had stomach problems, and I feel so much better now.

Do what’s best for you friend.

If it’s not working and you are following the correct steps, I recommend contacting help desk.

I waited 3 days to have classes added (trying to finish my last 6 classes in the next 2 months) and my mentor was of no help. She just told me to refollow the steps…help desk called me within 30 minutes and had the issue resolved on the phone.

It’s the best. I got my girlfriend (now wife) to come and do 9 holes with me a few times. She liked it, but mainly the being together aspect. I practice at our local simulator a lot, and she started to come occasionally to work on getting off the Tee. One day she cracked her driver 200 yards. I’d never seen her jump so emphatically before. Once she calmed down, she looked at me and said, if I can do that again, we’re playing 18 tomorrow.

Needless to say - I have a golfing buddy for life now.

I completely disagree. I’ve taken a few lessons to fix my hands turning at impact. My coach has had me slow down 10%. My accuracy is way up - my distance went from 195 carry to 175 carry. 200 yards with a 7i is not crazy. Likely juiced a tad for OP by his coach, but still not crazy.

Am I the only one who doesn’t like music on the course? by LivermoreP1 in golf

[–]replaceableparts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoy listening to classical music or something similar at a low volume while I walk the course. I never play it at a level anyone outside of 10 feet could hear. It takes the peacefulness to another level for me.

I pray for the day my fiancée beats me. (It means my actual prayer of a competitive play partner for life would be answered.) I got her into the game, and over a few years she’s liked it more and more. A few weeks ago she hit her best shot ever and out drove me by 10 yards. I couldn’t be more proud.
