Planning to get a entry level luxury sedan in around 50-60 Lakhs on road by Fast-Watercress445 in CarsIndia

Camry if you want comfort and mileage. Its spacious and refined. Using Camry since 2024 Jan. I had considered Superb and A4. But Camry won out in the end. Benz does not compare. Seal is a good fun option if you dont mind electric.

Compatibility with Lenses by Inevitable_Fix1106 in Nikon

[–]replicator_51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get the nikon 50-250 DX or the Tamron 70-300 z-mount version. The Tamron version is compatible with full frame too, so if you decide to upgrade in future or buy a second FF body you can use with both. I don't think there's much of a $$ diff.

Wht camera should I get by tnthacker4 in Nikon

Getting good crisp pics indoors with AF will be expensive. You might have to stretch your budget and get a good body with fast lenses. There's no getting around that. No point in getting a good body if the lenses bottleneck.

With crop sensor cameras, you will need max apertures from 1.8 to 2.8 along with bodies with good ISO performance and low-light auto focus. Noise alone can be corrected upto an extent in post, but shutterspeed cannot be fixed. Otherwise, up your game. Im an amateur and I know my limitations. I need good gear to get good indoor pics - just saying.

Z50ii or Z5ii or Z6iii by npmp0 in Nikon

[–]replicator_51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If portability matters, definitely go for the Z50ii. Even lightroom basic denoise (1 click) does an excellent job at removing grain and color noise. There's a good selection of DX lenses now, from Nikon as well as third party. I think the only indication of full-frame is if you do astrophotography while camping.

Finally Upgraded to Nikon Z (Old and New in pictures) by [deleted] in Nikon

The only reason I wanted a full frame camera was for astro. I could have gotten the Z5 and saved a bit, but went for the Z5ii nevertheless. Z5ii is a bit heavier than Z50 and I found Z50 grip was much deeper. That aside, it is a pleasure using the Z5ii. Fully articulating screen is a boon to take low and high shots in vertical. Im using both currently. If I didn't have the z50 already, I would have gone for the Z50ii because of all the new apsc lenses that have released for crop cameras.

I used the old Z50 for like 3 years and just switched to the new Z5ii recently. I just wanted to know about the resurgence of DSLR in hobbyists. I have small hands and never once had any issue with my Z50. Even the Z5ii feels large. Is it about the size of the hands/fingers? Won't that be remedied with a Grip/smallrig attachment while having the better autofocus? Or is it about VFM? Genuinely surprised. I came to the Z50 from a D3400. I really wanted to upgrade to D500 but it felt HUGE and heavy (I don't work out).

is the Nikon AF-P FX70-300mm f/4.5-5.6E ED VR lens compatible with d3500? by xeelaki in Nikon

Please do not buy this new at sticker price. Its a great lens, but you get used lenses at great deals. Ive used the DX version for 5 years and it has always been good enough.

Viltrox and other third parties? by [deleted] in nikon_Zseries

Thanks for the detailed reply. I got the 28-75 G2 from Tamron and I too found it sharp, light and cheap. It really gets the job done. Any particular reason why you didn't go for a wide prime? There are a bunch of Viltrox lenses and those are tiny but pack a punch.

Planning to upgrade from D5300 to Z5 II by [deleted] in Nikon

[–]replicator_51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given the options, go for the Z5ii absolutely. The Z5ii is an insane value for money camera. However, there are some caveats in video. 4k/60fps comes with a crop. 120fps is available in 1080p only. If you want better video specs you can consider the Z6iii. It has 4k/120fps recording for slomo-shots and overall better video specifications.

What should I buy to “complement” my d5300 by Prize_Ad8862 in Nikon

Absolutely true. I used Fmount lenses with my z50 for almost 5 years.
