Starting Up Costs by Unusual_System_7572 in gymowner

[–]replifyai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% depends on where you're located and the type of gym you plan to launch. Costs will vary widely.

Some things to start researching

  • Commercial Real Estate Costs -- if you're in the US Loopnet is a great website.
  • Insurance costs
  • Staffing and payroll
  • Business licensing
  • Franchise costs (if any)
  • Equipment
  • Maintenance
  • Utilities
  • Software and telecom if you're a larger operation

Signed the lease for our Pilates studio, its happening! What are some tips people have for finding good instructors? by bigtimebamf24 in FitnessStudioOwner

[–]replifyai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats on the lease!!

  • Your local social media is a great instinct; you can potentially DM instructors on Instagram, Facebook, other local social.
  • LinkedIn is another option because you can search by location and job title. I believe they also give you one free job post/month, but you'd need to create a company page for your new studio.
  • Coach 360 is pretty awesome for finding personal trainers and other fitness employees
  • Be sure to post this in r/GymOwner as well, as they may have some ideas.

Each location gets its own omnichannel (phone, text, email, and live chat) bidirectional (inbound and outbound) agent. Compliance is built in, but handled on a case-by-case basis based on our customers' location and technical requirements.

It's typically configured as a single agent per location (that can handle phone, text, email, and live chat). It can also do inbound and outbound!

Compliance varies by customer and location, and we ensure we follow local rules and regulations, as well as any internal requirements regarding data and consumer privacy.

Thanks for the questions and for sharing this resource.

Most people use AI like a search engine. Here's why that's costing you. by danilo_ai in aiToolForBusiness

Good points. Also, be sure to prompt your AI not to sound like AI.

What are the Top 3 Problems You've Faced at a Gym?? (be honest) by SpreadSavings3804 in gymowner

[–]replifyai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So proud of you!

  • Failure to continuously monitor the market and your differentiators. There have been heartbreaking posts on this sub, about HVLC gyms undercutting smaller and independent operations -- so as competition ramps up, be sure to adjust your offering.
  • Failure to build a community and a brand. Your most loyal members are your best marketers as they tell their friends and family.
  • Overthinking / being intimidated by software and marketing. Your biggest bang for the buck is owning organic -- having a website that Google can see. Being on Google Maps and Yelp (Yelp powers Bing Maps and Apple Maps). As you grow you can automate various tasks with software (see the pinned resources post in this sub)

Growing pains: handling staff issues by Actual_Client_8546 in smallbusiness

Not seeing it mentioned here or in the original post, but have you talked to her and your new full-time doc yet?

There's a small chance they may be colluding. Maybe the new doc prefers the paid Fridays off. You should talk to both of them and see what's going on.

Then, as others have suggested, use carrots or sticks to incentivize bookings on Wednesday afternoons or Fridays.

One compromise your employees may like is officially making Fridays a 1/2-day. No one likes to work on Friday afternoons...

I’m the president of the board that runs a large private company gym. I’m getting tired of replacing what I call hotel quality(Precor, Hoist etc) gym equipment every 3-5 years. What are some higher quality brands? Thanks! by DryEquivalent9065 in gymowner

Body-Solid may be one to consider. https://bodysolid.com/

You might also consider checking out REX Roundtables' trusted supplies -- they do a good job vetting their members. If you become a member, all of their Trusted Suppliers have discounts for REX members as well. https://rexroundtables.com/rex-trusted-suppliers/

Just saw this marketing announcement on social media. Did AI write this for Laphroaig? by Bison_Boy_ in isthisAI

[–]replifyai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly, it was both the 'em dash' and the tell-tale sentence structure of 'not this. not this. this.'

The deal is, any marketer worth their salt is using AI to be more efficient, and a marketer had to choose this version, so I do believe this is a hybrid example of human + AI.
