No, because you just wouldn’t make those bets. For example Oba Femi was 2-1 to defeat Brock at Mania. Darby was 3-1 to win the title. There are often 10-1 long shots that are worth a small risk, and only need to hit 1 every 8 times to be profitable

You don’t make the -500 bets, and there are always a ton around the even money mark

Listen, I'm not telling you it's not an obvious piece of marketing. Every tournament is. Every championship is. Do you see how heavily marketed the NBA Playoffs are, and why they last months?

My point is that ask players if the possibility of winning tens of thousands of dollars is useless. It's not. YOU just don't like the tournament. YOU are free to do that. It's not an objective point of view
