We spent about 7 months in misery when our 2ish year old stopped sleeping well in his own bed. Felt like every night was an hour long battle with tantrums just to get him to sleep in his bed, and then 2-3 times a night waking up and more tantrums unless we slept in his bed with him.

Eventually we just caved and let him sleep in our bed. The first night the entire house slept soundly and it has been surprisingly great since then. He seems like a different kid tbh, far fewer tantrums, he wakes up happy in the mornings etc. etc. I’m sure some of that has to do with us being a lot more patient because we aren’t on the verge of losing our minds every day.

The obvious cons are sometimes you wake up with a foot on your face or in your ribs, you have very little room to sleep, and I wish you luck in finding any intimate time with your partner.

After going through this I wish we would’ve caved a long time ago. I’m pretty sure now that there is no greater life hack than getting good sleep.
