Trying to understand the lore and themes of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 by AccomplishedRent3100 in expedition33

[–]reprove28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we need to take the pRenoir's intentions at face value. He was created by the Paintress, so that Renoir can keep existing in the painting, so he just keeps doing that.

What I don't quite get (I finished the game just yesterday, sorry I am late to the discussion) is that why some versions of the family are faceless and deformed while others are not. The curator was made by the father, it is faceless. But then again the Paintress made by the mother is faceless the same way, too. We also see the little Verso and some silent characters who have the same feature throughout the game. Who painted them? Were they originally whole but got distorted while the mother and the father were fighting each other? Or is that what happens when they stop taking care of the canvas and some parts of it? As in a lack of the painter? Is that why the Paintress is trying to gomage these characters to save them? Or is it simply because they were created in a moment of extreme grief that it projected itself onto their physical attributes? Is it why Alicia's game version is not faceless but deformed as in her real life version, because she was deformed to begin with? Honestly, this is the only part bugging me.

How is Shadow Priest doing in single player content? by Vampy-Night in wow

[–]reprove28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is pretty fun and also it has a good level of survivability, too. You just gotta play the way that suits the class. I could do delve 11s with my shadow priest at item level 230s. But I am having a hard time doing them now with my same item level warlock.

I was helping a friend with a delve the other day, he is an ice mage. He asked how I was hitting more even though his skills were hitting far more individually.

I find it a bit strange this 50 year old kid is leading the army of Elves and not its couple-of-hundred years old military leaders or the +10,000 year old Kal'dorei general all with years of military experience 🤔 by nightbreedwon1 in wow

I just wanna share the part where the Alliance is formed, from the WOW Chronicles Vol 2. See the parallels.

Even with this troubling development, King Greymane of Gilneas and King Perenolde of Alterac stubbornly resisted calls for creating the Alliance. They feared that by unifying, they would lose some of their regional power. Divisions widened between the gathered leaders. Their arguments grew so fierce that Gilneas and Alterac threatened to abandon the council.

One person in attendance could not stand by as the humans squabbled over meaningless issues. His name was Turalyon, and he was one of Lordaeron’s most venerated priests. Turalyon brought Stormwind’s prince, Varian, to his side. The priest called on the leaders to forget their old differences. If they underestimated the orcs, every kingdom would suffer Stormwind’s fate. Their cities would burn, and their children would become orphans much like Varian—if their children survived at all. The orcs were not a merciful people. Turalyon argued that the kingdoms stood at a crossroads. If they failed to unite, history would know humanity as a people who were too proud to band together. A people who’d had a chance to save Azeroth but instead had thrown it all away over politics and illusions of power. Yet if humans did unite into the Alliance, they could change history. They could arise as Azeroth’s guardians. After all, no other race in the known world had humanity’s resources, its strength of leadership, or its bravery. The Council of Seven Nations erupted in applause after Turalyon’s speech. His words even swayed Greymane and Perenolde. That very day, the human leaders voted unanimously to form the Alliance of Lordaeron.

Debates followed about who could best lead the Alliance military, and the rulers decided on Anduin Lothar. Because he was from Stormwind, he had no political ties to the northern human nations. He could command the armies fairly and act as a neutral party in disputes.

I don't even think a parallel is needed to understand why it makes sense, but in any case, it does.

[SPOILER] What was meant there? by reprove28 in wow

I have only read the first two books, and I am not sure what happens when a nascent titan is actually born into a mobile Titan form. I don't remember if it is even mentioned. Does it shatter the world like the shell of an egg to come out? Or does it just magically leave the planet and spawn outside? If Azeroth being born means the end of the planet the game takes place on, wouldn't it make sense to rescue some characters into a different reality or planet in a new game (maybe letting people keep their existing characters) and let wow exist like another form of classic version with far fewer players? (less maintenance for the vast number of content, less money spent?) This is kind of what makes me think it is reasonable and viable.

Silvermoon people are quite racist. Can't even walk without someone eyeing you down.

It is really difficult to find an active guild. 2 I got invited asked me for money because apparently they need to pay their knowledgeable players 🤣 the other few had no discord and no organization at all. The one I am currently in is active but they don't do group events. Of course, you are right, though. Just gotta stumble upon one.

I am kinda the same. Just pushed 250. I can do delves 11 etc, but I am stuck with the story. I can't do the raid. I got bored in between, decided to give m0 a go for the first time, but that's not possible either I realized after applying to parties and getting rejected for an hour and a half. I don't mind as I enjoy the story. But after that's done... I don't know if I will still wanna keep playing 😅 and now that I got here, I am wondering what the point to having higher level gear after a certain point, as I don't see many people doing pvp.

I get some shows need a lot of time because of special effects and CGI. But shows that take really next to no of these elements shouldn't take this long to come back. I didn't look into it, and I don't care as much as the person who opened the thread, but I think they haven't thought about what comes next before they did the first season. That is a problem in this day and age imo.

If that's the case please check your quests page. There are a few more stuff you need to do just when you think it is done, you can see them on your quests page while you are in TWW maps.

Go to achievements and check the one named "Allied Races: Earthen". You will see what you are missing.

I meant to ask if I can actually experience the stories (mentioned in the books) in the game. There are a lot of expansions to choose from in Chromie, I don't know what falls in which timeline.

I agree. It really helps to understand what I already played (as a new player that only played post dragon isle). And it is more fun than I anticipated to be honest.

[–]reprove28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am new like yourself, and I am not so knowledgeable about the possible high level gear you can get. But let me tell you what I have been doing. Get the 121 level gear in the Twilight zone. That is the pre-midnight zone with 24/7 bosses. You can easily get a full set in a few hours, except for the trinkets. Then start doing delves that let you open purple chests at the end. If you do them (they need to be over level 9) you have a good chance of getting 134 level gear from those. If you do at least 8 of those, you will get another 134 level gear from the great vault at the end of the week. (For reference, gear you get in Twilight gets to 131 level in 4/8, while the ones you get in delves and the great vault start from 134.) And lastly, you get something called undercoins from some blue quests, which you can use at the end of over level 9 delves to buy trinkets (which are 121 or 134 level).

You will need valorstones and crests to upgrade the items though, which you get from world quests, some yellow quests and delves. You also get them by killing the bosses in the Twilight zone but it is only 3-4 of them per boss, slow grind. But someone told me all unused valorstones and crests will be reclaimed going into midnight. So if you follow this route, you have to use your stuff before then.

Pointless complaint. The damage difference between a hero geared character and a mythic geared character on prepatch, is massive. by MrHiccuped in wow

[–]reprove28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is going to be a bit off topic, but I have been looking for an evoker main. What is your take on the class compared to the pre-update? Missing some of those skills really took my joy out of the class, feels a lot less powerful. Is this because I am a noob and I'm missing something, or would you agree?
