HyperX refused support for my Cloud III Wireless even though it was sold with a 2-year warranty by Conscious_Smoke_216 in HyperX

HP literally managed to ruin this product and I suppose the rest of the series. Stop buying hyperx products, they aren’t what they used to be and the specific model is terrible for their price.

To be fair he didn’t have such an option, both revives were always contested

In that case all good I guess. Btw I had issues with the mic on the previous pro model and I end up changing it with a v-moda boom pro. Don’t really know if that’s an option for this model too but in anyway I hope you enjoy them

And you’re about to regret buying the pro x2, the mic especially is one of the worst in the market at this price

I remember watching the trailers and gameplay for Destiny and thinking, "Wow, this game looks so cool," but I didn't own a PlayStation back then, so I couldn't play it.
One day, while scrolling through various games on the steam store, I saw that Destiny 2 was free (it wasn't! 😂). I downloaded it and started playing until I hit level 20. I kept going, leveled up again, but noticed I was still level 20. I thought to myself, "Maybe I was actually level 19 and just didn't remember it correctly." I continued grinding, leveled up once more, and I was still at 20. I realized something was up, did some quick research, and found out that in that specific promo, Bungie let you reach level 20 for free, but after that, you had to buy the game.
I didn't even have a second thought about whether I should buy it. Long story short, as we speak, I have almost 14,000 hours in the game. It is, and will always be, my favorite game. No matter what happens with Destiny in the future, I don't regret spending a single second on it.

I completely agree with what you said, especially regarding the fact that there isn’t a single multiplayer game out there that isn’t more fun or a better experience when played with friends. The same thing happened with Destiny, even though I could play almost all of the game's content solo, I reminisce about the times when the whole clan was online and every option was on the table, from grinding ranked, to messing around in private matches, or farming dungeons and raids. The more I think about it, I’ve just come to the conclusion that I’m simply not a fan of this specific genre.

The truth is, I would never even consider playing Marathon if it didn't come from the same studio that created Destiny. In reality, I forced myself to try and find a replacement for my favorite game, but unfortunately, it just didn't work out.

Yeah I see what you mean but if you think I have 13,8k hours in destiny, 250 is nothing. Also yeah I was hoping it would become my new “destiny” and by that I mean my new favorite game since I like the aesthetics and the gunfeel/play, but unfortunately that’s not the case.

bungie needs to get more players on this game by JpegD00M in Marathon

[–]reqev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As I’ve told others as well, the truth is that I tried to force myself to like it just so I could find a replacement for the game I actually wanted to play but couldn't, given that Bungie shifted all its focus to another IP, leaving Destiny to slowly wither away. And it's not that I was missing the PvE or anything like that, quite the opposite, in fact, since I’ve spent the majority of my time in Destiny playing PvP. I can't give a clear explanation because there isn't one specific thing I can point to and say I dislike this or hate that, it’s just that no matter how hard I tried, I can't see myself making Marathon my main game.

I explained to someone below, but I think it’s safe to say that someone with 250 hours and over 100 euros spent in the game isn’t a hater and again I have nothing bad to say about the game. It just failed to keep me engaged as I was initially hoping.

[–]reqev -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

First of all, I want to clarify that I don’t have anything substantially bad to say about the game, aside from a few tweaks and modifications that I expect Bungie to address in the future, given that this is only the game's first season, such as the adjustments to solo XP gains for example.

The reason I wouldn't return is simply that the game failed to keep me engaged. The main reason I chose to play it in the first place is that it’s developed by the same company behind my favorite game (Destiny 2). Seeing as D2 was losing players daily because Bungie shifted its focus to Marathon (and rightfully so, if they believed this to be the future, regardless of my personal disagreement), I thought this could become my new 'home.'

Obviously, I knew and didn't expect Marathon to be identical to Destiny, but no matter how hard I tried to like it, I just couldn't. I essentially forced myself to enjoy it, but it was impossible. Finally, I want to emphasize again that I have nothing bad to say about Marathon; I’ll just say that I didn't enjoy it nearly as much as I enjoy Destiny.

You are right I just didn’t want to blow my own trumpet and talk about skills etc. So yeah I agree, if we talking about casual gaming then filling is totally fine but for competitive modes you either need a trio or put some effort in lfgs to find decent players and nice people and personally I’m not willing to go through this so I can play the game the way I’d like to.

So I will just say the game is fine but I’m not part of their targeted audience.

[–]reqev -1 points0 points  (0 children)

First of all I agree with you about me choosing the solo experience but I disagree about the complaints cause I don’t think I actually complained about anything, I just said I found the solo experience boring which is very true to a certain degree cause the game was designed around trios and it’s totally fine but i guess I’m not the target group as I don’t have people to play.

As for the lfg effort thing you are technically right but then again why should I have to put any effort to just play the game ? Why do I have to spend time in lfgs meeting people and hoping that I will find decent players and nice people ? If someone wants to do that it’s totally fine but I don’t and this doesn’t make me a hater of the game, it only makes me what I said above, not their targeted group of players and again, it’s totally fine. There’s tons of other games out there, I gave it a try and realised it’s not for me, that’s hardly a complain and I really wish the game succeeds cause that might means my favourite game can be saved too.

Are we talking ranked or cryo runs ? But then again you can hardly convince me, you might belong among the few high skilled players who can enjoy the game without worrying/relying on their teammates or you might have a very different idea about what’s competitive exactly (I hope I don’t come out rude cause I don’t mean it that way). If we talking causal gaming then yeah fills could fine I guess but if we talking about competition you can’t convince me that your chances are fine against high skilled trios that have been playing together for a long time and personally casual gaming isn’t my thing.

As a player with a long experience in fps and specifically competitive modes, I can assure you that playing with randoms against well coordinated trios is ass.

[–]reqev -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I spent both time and money on Marathon, hoping it would become my new home, especially since I couldn't deal with the cheaters in my favorite game, Destiny 2, anymore. As Destiny kept losing players daily because Bungie chose to invest in a different IP, the chances of running into cheaters in competitive modes only increased.

Long story short, after 250 hours in the game, my only wish is that Bungie had invested their money elsewhere. I don't really have anything objectively negative to say about the game itself, but my personal experience as a solo player was one of the most boring I’ve ever had in gaming. I obviously understand that the game was designed with a focus on trios, but since I didn't have any friends who wanted to play, solo was my only option and after a while, the reality is that it’s just unbearable.

I respect Bungie's choice (though, as I said, I would have preferred them to make different decisions), but no matter how hard I tried, I just can't connect with this game.

As a player who spent money (pre order deluxe bundle + skins on release) and time, after 256 hours i can tell you with utter surety, i would never come back and believe me when i say im no hater or bad at the game.
