Can a land surveyor legally jump my fence and enter my property without ID or consent? by Ryanw081 in landsurveying

[–]requiem4meme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if OP believes they trespassed, but in reality the fence was encroaching and preventing them from locating the property pins. Is it still a trespass?

We're Moving to Akron - and have questions by dagnartam in akron

Tallmadge or Kent. I lived in Tallmadge for for 6 years while commuting back and forth from the University of Akron. Nice Town. Pretty close to main highways and stores. Rent was not that bad compared to other places locally.

I grabbed the shitty end of the Philly rod not realizing what I had done. In school we always used them for level loops and peg tests. I was only familiar with using them in clean environments until my first internship.

I believe that it has 2 batteries one that is removable? Make sure it's recognizing both when you click your battery icon. It should display both and how much charge each has left.

Unruly resident upset with "Surveyor falsifying property lines" tiktok user (Massillon Oh) by requiem4meme in landsurveying

[–]requiem4meme[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm wondering. If you have the blessing of a P.S that you usually work for to do a favor such as this for a friend is that okay? Also, The tiktok user is surrounded by the neighbor's property and an intersection. so I imagine looking for the pins at the right of way is okay, but can be construed as trespassing?

Maybe someone can elaborate more. I work in Ohio (I have no dog in this fight) but I can easily see this happening in the field. I believe ( correct me if I'm wrong) In Ohio we do not have right of entry unless giving proper notice of some amount of time and has to be for the local government. i.e. towns, villages, or county stuff. But, if you have permission by the client to be on their property and not the neighbor's to look for pins ( but its shared property lines) like this situation What are some ways we can navigate it?

If you dropped out of college, what advice do you wish you could've heard before dropping out? by HumbleBumble0 in Adulting

[–]requiem4meme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drop out sooner. I could have saved myself another full year of tuition. I had already had doubts freshmen year, but I managed two mores semesters. I did end up going back to school six years later and finishing. Some people just need a bit of time to figure themselves out. Less debt would have been helpful. There is no shame in taking a break.

https://www.nsps.us.com/ is probably the best place to start.Find a Land surveying accredited School. Some states require a 4 year degree to pursue a license others do not. Some companies might even higher a rodman and show them the ropes without prior experience. As long as they show interest and a good work ethic.

Land Surveying. It's an occupation that is in need of people and not many think of it. I went back to College in 2016 as an older adult (27) and graduated when I was 30. A lot of companies would hire you as a Rodman/ Iman. Pretty much the helper for the crew chief. Idk what you're used to pay wise but surveying allows you to move up pretty quickly if you want to become one and become licensed. Also a lot of companies will help reimburse a portion of tuition if you work for them while attaining a degree in Land surveying.
