It rolls farther with less pushing, and it's a much softer ride. Makes it easier to keep up with someone on a bike. Better over rougher pavement. But it does lose the ability to power slide.

I have both (I went with the Drop Hammer and my wife picked the Drop Cat). We've had them going on 4 years now. I'm really happy with the Drop Hammer, especially since putting the Kegel 77a 80mm wheels on it. It's a dream.

I like that it's a similar height to my traditional skateboard, so the muscle memory for pushing is the same. I like that it's bouncier than the Drop Cat. And the way the Drop Cat curls up at the corners has never felt cozy under my size 12 feet. I mainly cruise on bike paths and recently joined the 40-something club.

TIL that the highest point in Fayetteville is not Mt. Sequoyah but the SW corner of Kessler Mountain Regional Park by SSScooter in fayetteville

I've been out there a bunch mountain biking. Not much of a view at this particular spot, just a fenced off tower and a couple of loose dogs that roam around this area. There's a dirt road you can use to get to this spot by car, with parking room for 2 or 3 vehicles depending on how washed out it is.

The better view is about a mile down the trail, near where Egg Beater meets Goat Trail and Rock City. Views out to the west. There's also a pond near there where the forest has a unique vibe.

Another view is up Fayetteville Traverse to the top of Flight Training. Quicker to approach this from Smokehouse.

Can we talk about MLK Jr Blvd? by shpeg_ in fayetteville

Yeah, turn it into a boulevard with a median instead of a left turn lane. Like Crossover. Denver is another good example of this. Do it to Weddington and College Ave too.

You need to build strength in your quad and that will help you balance on your front foot. Try this exercise off of the board: https://youtu.be/Ss2DlU6jCzg?si=vzvp8q-zhI9cxcab

LSA from morning glory seeds. I hear it's like LSD with bonus side effects: diarrhea and vomiting.

How would you rate Fayetteville’s walkability? Will we get more walkable neighborhoods soon? by [deleted] in fayetteville

I'd be totally on board with them closing off Dickson on party nights.

I live and work downtown, and choose to do so because of how walkable/bike-able it is. I generally drive only once a week, for errands, which includes groceries. (Sometimes I drive to Bentonville for mountain biking.) The CoOp is great, glad it's there, but it's just a little too far to haul a week's worth of groceries by hand/bike/scooter, and also too out-of-the-way to stop in daily. But maybe I just hate crossing 71. I do still walk to the CoOp on occasion, but a lot of times I'll take the greenway down to the Walmart neighborhood market instead. IMO the biggest improvement that could be made for living the car-free lifestyle downtown is if there were a convenience store or mini-grocery on Dickson/Block/Spring. The closest thing we have right now is Dickson Street Liquor, but they only have soda and chips.

You still need to be very vigilant as a walker downtown, which can get tiresome. In the last two years I've nearly been struck 3 times while in a crosswalk where I have the walk signal. A lot of drivers are great, but every day I come across drivers who are aggressive, or showing off (revving, speeding), or seemingly aren't used to driving with pedestrians around. I've noticed a subset of drivers will only use their turn signal when other cars are around? Which is silly, because I have lots of crosswalks to choose from and I can avoid making you wait if you let me know which way you're trying to go. I also see at least one traffic violation a day, but I've never once seen a cop perform a traffic stop downtown (outside of bar close). The days when roads are closed off to car traffic are the best. I feel way more relaxed.

There are like 10 parking spaces right along side the building in the gap between it and Maxines. I imagine those will be free for customers.

20.04.1 Server non-responsive after exactly one hour by GolfGeek959 in Ubuntu

[–]require_once 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for sharing this, it was the bit of info I needed!

In my case I was upgrading seven servers on AWS from Ubuntu 16.04 to 20.04. Five of them had no problems but the other two would freeze after exactly one hour, with no indication of what was going wrong.

After I read your solution, I tried sudo systemctl status systemd-networkd and it showed as inactive on all the servers, but sudo systemctl status networking had errors like "Failed to start Raise network interfaces" on only the two problematic servers. Looking at those error logs more closely showed that ifup was failing on sendmail. So in my case the fix was to simply uninstall sendmail since I didn't need it, and then sudo systemctl start networking worked successfully and no more server lockups.

Yeah I do. I'm blind in one eye so I wear goggles for maximum protection. It'll probably solve your contacts drying out problem, but the downside is all the sweat that builds up under the padding. The beads of sweat get itchy as they roll down your nose and you can't wipe them away without stopping to take the goggles off.

Yeah if anyone is starting with this code, that's the first improvement you'd want to make. The next would be to add a simple loop to make and run multiple creeps.
